Man, what a day! I swear, Chiugiana-La-Commenda is a wild place. I’m just a shepherd, right? But today? Today was somethin’ else. So, I wake up early, like usual, with the sun barely peeking over the hills. I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Not even close. I grab my staff, head outta my little hut on Via della Libertà. The sheep are bleatin’ like they’re auditioning for a choir. First stop, the market at Piazza della Repubblica. I’m hopin’ to grab some fresh bread. You know, the good stuff. But man, it’s packed! People everywhere, like sardines in a can. I’m dodgin’ folks, tryin’ not to spill my coffee. And then, bam! I bump into old Signora Rosa. She’s got her basket full of veggies, and she starts jabberin’ about her cat. I’m like, “Lady, I got sheep to tend!” But she just keeps goin’. Finally, I escape her clutches and get my bread. But then, I see it. A street performer on Via Roma, playin’ the accordion. And let me tell ya, he’s terrible! I mean, I love music, but this guy? He’s makin’ my ears bleed. But the crowd? They’re lovin’ it! I can’t help but laugh. So, I head back to the fields, right? But on the way, I notice a bunch of kids playin’ soccer on Via Garibaldi. They’re kickin’ the ball around, havin’ a blast. I stop to watch, and one of ‘em kicks it too hard. The ball goes flyin’ right into a fountain! Water everywhere! Kids are screamin’, laughin’, and I’m just standin’ there, shakin’ my head. “What a mess!” I finally get to the fields, and my sheep are just chillin’. But then, I see one of ‘em, Baa-bara (yeah, I named her), she’s stuck in a bush. I’m like, “Seriously, Baa-bara? You had one job!” I pull her out, and she looks at me like, “What’s the big deal?” I swear, these sheep have no sense of danger. Then, outta nowhere, it starts rainin’. Like, heavy rain. I’m runnin’ for cover, but my sheep? They’re just standin’ there, lookin’ confused. I’m yellin’, “C’mon, you fluffy idiots!” Finally, I get ‘em under a tree, but I’m soaked. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just great.” After the rain, the sun comes out, and it’s beautiful. I’m sittin’ there, watchin’ the sunset over the hills. It’s moments like this that make it all worth it, ya know? But then, I hear a loud noise. A car zooms by on Via della Libertà, and it’s blaring music. I can’t even hear myself think! I’m tryin’ to relax, but now I’m annoyed. I’m like, “Dude, turn it down!” But the driver just laughs and speeds off. Ugh! As the day winds down, I head back to town. I stop by my favorite little café on Via della Storia. I order a slice of tiramisu. Best in Chiugiana-La-Commenda, no contest. I sit outside, watchin’ the world go by. And you know what? Despite the craziness, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Chiugiana-La-Commenda is my home. It’s loud, messy, and full of surprises. Just like me. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in this crazy little town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
