Man, what a day! I swear, being a swineherd in Colico-Piano is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I wake up, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I head down Via Roma, and I’m just minding my own business, thinking about my pigs, you know? They’re my babies. But then, BAM! I trip over some cobblestones. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to make streets like that? I’m pretty sure I saw a pig laugh at me. Rude. Anyway, I finally get to the market at Piazza Garibaldi. It’s buzzing! People everywhere, selling cheese, bread, and all that good stuff. I’m trying to haggle for some fresh prosciutto, but this guy, Marco, he’s not budging. I’m like, “C’mon, man! I’m a swineherd! I know good meat!” But he just smirks. Ugh, I was fuming. Then, outta nowhere, I see this cute girl. Her name’s Lucia. She’s selling flowers. I’m like, “Wow, she’s got a smile that could light up the whole lake!” So, I muster up some courage and go over. I’m trying to be smooth, but I trip again. Seriously, what’s with me today? She giggles, and I’m like, “Great, now I’m the town clown.” But she’s sweet, and we chat. Turns out, she loves pigs too! What are the odds? After that, I’m feeling all happy and stuff. I grab a gelato from that little shop on Via Cavour. Best gelato ever! I’m talking creamy, dreamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I’m savoring it, thinking life’s good, when suddenly, I hear a loud honk. I look up, and it’s a bus! A big ol’ bus, right in front of me. It’s the Colico-Piano line, and it’s packed. People are crammed in there like sardines. I can’t help but laugh. I mean, who wants to be squished like that? Not me! But then, I see a familiar face in the window. It’s my buddy, Luca. He’s waving like a maniac. I wave back, but then I realize I’ve got gelato all over my hand. Classic me. So, I finish my gelato and head towards the lake. The view from Lungolago is breathtaking. Seriously, the mountains reflecting on the water? It’s like a postcard. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, I hear a commotion. A bunch of kids are running around, and one of them accidentally kicks a soccer ball right at me. It hits my leg! I’m like, “Hey! Watch it!” But they just laugh and run off. Kids these days, right? As the sun starts to set, I’m walking back home, feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster, I tell ya! I pass by the old church on Via San Giovanni. It’s beautiful, but I can’t help but think about how I need to get back to my pigs. They’re probably plotting a rebellion or something. Finally, I get home, and my pigs are waiting. They look at me like, “Where you been, dude?” I swear, they have the best timing. I feed them, and as I’m sitting there, I realize today was wild. Colico-Piano, with its cobblestones, markets, and lakes, it’s a crazy place. But it’s home. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. What a day, huh? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
