Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a geisha, right? And today was just... ugh, intense. Like, I woke up in my little room on Via Roma, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had a tea ceremony planned at this cute little spot near Piazza della Repubblica. I was all dressed up in my kimono, feeling like a million bucks. But then, bam! My obi was too tight. Like, who designed this thing? I could barely breathe! I was like, “Great, I’m gonna pass out in front of everyone.” So, I’m rushing to the tea house, right? I take a shortcut down Via Cavour, and guess what? There’s a street fair! I mean, who doesn’t love a good street fair? But it was packed! I’m dodging people left and right, trying not to spill my matcha. And then, I see this guy juggling flaming torches. Like, seriously? Who thought that was a good idea? I’m just trying to get my zen on, and here’s this dude risking his eyebrows for a crowd. Finally, I make it to the tea house, and it’s beautiful. The smell of fresh tea is in the air, and I’m like, “Okay, I can do this.” But then, the host spills tea all over my kimono! I’m standing there, mortified. I mean, this is a $500 kimono! I wanted to scream, but instead, I just laughed it off. Gotta keep it classy, right? After the tea ceremony, I’m feeling a bit better. I stroll down to the park on Via della Libertà. It’s so pretty there, with all the trees and flowers. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, out of nowhere, this kid runs by with a balloon, and POP! It bursts right next to me. I jump like I’m in a horror movie. Seriously, my heart was racing. Then, I decide to grab some gelato. I mean, who can resist gelato, right? I head over to this little gelateria on Via Garibaldi. I order pistachio, my fave. But the guy behind the counter is super slow. Like, come on, dude! I’m standing there, tapping my foot, thinking about how I could’ve made it myself by now. Finally, I get my gelato, and it’s heavenly. I’m walking back, feeling like life is good again. But wait, there’s more! I bump into an old friend from high school. We start chatting, and I’m like, “Wow, it’s been ages!” But then, she starts talking about her kids, and I’m like, “Yikes, I’m not ready for that.” I mean, I can barely take care of my plants! As the sun starts to set, I head back home. I’m walking down Via Roma again, and it hits me—Collecchio is such a vibe. The streets, the people, the food. It’s chaotic but beautiful. I love it here, even with all the craziness. So, I finally get home, and I’m exhausted. I plop down on my bed, still in my kimono, and just laugh. What a day! I mean, who knew being a geisha in Collecchio could be this wild? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Well, maybe a day without balloon pops and tea spills. But hey, that’s life, right?
