Man, what a day! Seriously, Cologno-al-Serio, you’ve got me all kinds of twisted. Woke up this mornin’ feelin’ like a million bucks, but boy, did that change fast. So, I’m chillin’ in my crib on Via Roma, right? Sippin’ my espresso, thinkin’ about how I’m gonna conquer the world today. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Yo, let’s hit up the market at Piazza della Libertà!” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” I step outside, and it’s a whole vibe. The sun’s out, birds are chirpin’, and I’m feelin’ good. But then, I hit the street, and it’s chaos! Cars everywhere, people rushin’ like they’re late for a wedding or somethin’. I’m dodgin’ folks on Via Garibaldi like I’m in a video game. Finally make it to the market, and it’s packed! Fresh fruits, veggies, and the smell of pastries wafting through the air. I’m in heaven! Grabbed a bomb cannoli from this little stand. Like, I could’ve eaten ten of ‘em. But then, I see this dude tryin’ to haggle over a tomato. A TOMATO! I mean, c’mon man, it’s not like it’s gold or somethin’. After that, I’m feelin’ all hyped, so I decide to stroll down to the Serio River. It’s beautiful there, like a postcard. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain! Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I’m runnin’ for cover under this old bridge on Via Cavour, lookin’ like a drowned rat. While I’m waitin’ it out, I see this old lady feedin’ ducks. She’s got this whole bag of bread, and I’m thinkin’, “Man, I wish I had that bread.” But then, she starts yellin’ at the ducks like they owe her money or somethin’. I’m crackin’ up! Once the rain chills out, I’m back on the move. I hit up this little café on Via Mazzini. Grabbed another espresso (can’t get enough, right?). The barista, this cool dude named Luca, tells me about this festival comin’ up. I’m like, “Dude, I’m so there!” But then, I get a text from my sister. She’s in a panic. “Lost my keys!” she says. I’m like, “How do you lose keys?!” So, I’m tryin’ to help her out while I’m in the middle of Cologno-al-Serio, and it’s a mess. Finally, I’m like, “Forget it, I’ll help you later.” I head over to the park by the river. It’s chill there, people laughin’, kids playin’. I plop down on a bench, just takin’ it all in. Then, I see this couple havin’ a picnic. They’re all lovey-dovey, and I’m like, “Ugh, get a room!” But also, kinda sweet, ya know? As the sun starts settin’, I’m feelin’ all reflective. Cologno-al-Serio, you’re a wild ride. One minute I’m laughin’, the next I’m soaked, then I’m helpin’ my sis with her keys. It’s a rollercoaster, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, I head back home, exhausted but happy. I think about all the craziness, and I can’t help but smile. Cologno-al-Serio, you’ve got my heart, even if you drive me nuts sometimes!
