OMG, what a day! So, I’m a babysitter, right? And today was just... wow. I mean, Colorno is usually chill, but today? Nah, not at all. First off, I get to the house on Via Roma, and the kids are already bouncing off the walls. Like, seriously, how much sugar did they have for breakfast? I walk in, and it’s chaos. Toys everywhere, and I’m like, “Did a tornado hit this place?” So, I’m trying to get them to calm down. We decide to go for a walk. I thought, “Let’s hit up the Parco Ducale.” It’s a beautiful park, right? But nooo, the kids wanna go to the gelato shop first. I mean, who can blame them? Gelato in Colorno is like heaven. We hit up this little spot on Via Garibaldi. I order a pistachio gelato, and the kids go wild for strawberry. But then, disaster strikes! One of the kids, little Marco, trips and spills his gelato all over himself. I’m like, “Dude, you just turned into a strawberry monster!” He starts crying, and I’m like, “C’mon, it’s just gelato!” But you know how kids are. So, I’m trying to clean him up, and I’m getting sticky too. Ugh! I’m thinking, “Why did I sign up for this?” But then, I see this old lady walking by, and she’s laughing at us. I mean, who wouldn’t? We looked ridiculous. After the gelato fiasco, we finally make it to the park. It’s so pretty there, with all the trees and the fountains. I’m feeling a bit better. We start playing tag, and I’m running around like a maniac. I swear, I haven’t run that much since... well, I can’t even remember! Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I look up, and it’s like the sky just opened up. We all dash for cover under this big tree. I’m soaked, the kids are soaked, and I’m just laughing. I mean, what else can you do? While we’re waiting for the rain to chill, I start telling them about the history of Colorno. You know, how it used to be a royal residence and all that jazz. They’re not even listening, just splashing in puddles. Kids, right? Finally, the rain stops, and we head back. But wait! We pass by the Palazzo Ducale, and I’m like, “Let’s check it out!” The kids are all “Nooo, we’re tired!” But I’m like, “C’mon, it’s a palace!” So, we go in, and it’s stunning. I’m talking frescoes, fancy rooms, the works. But then, Marco decides to touch everything. I’m like, “Dude, hands to yourself!” But he’s a curious little guy. I’m half-expecting a guard to come and kick us out. After the palace, we finally head home. I’m exhausted, but the kids are still full of energy. I’m thinking, “How do they do it?” We get back, and I’m like, “Okay, time for a movie!” We settle down with popcorn, and I’m just relieved. I’m thinking, “Finally, some peace.” But then, they start arguing over what to watch. I’m like, “Guys, it’s just a movie!” By the end of the day, I’m wiped out. I’m sitting on the couch, and the kids are finally asleep. I look around the mess, and I’m like, “What a day.” Colorno, you’ve got my heart, but wow, you sure know how to keep a babysitter on her toes!
