Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a stove-maker in Cornedo-Vicentino ain’t for the faint-hearted. Woke up this mornin’ with the sun blarin’ through my window on Via Roma. Thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was anything but. First off, I hit the market on Piazza della Libertà. You know, the one with the fountain that’s always got some kid splashin’ around? Yeah, that one. I’m just tryin’ to grab some fresh veggies for lunch, right? And boom! I bump into old Signora Bianchi. She’s like, “You still makin’ those fancy stoves?” I’m like, “Yeah, of course! What else would I do?” She goes on about how her cousin’s got a stove that’s older than dirt. I swear, I almost lost it. “Lady, I make stoves, not miracles!” Then, I head back to my workshop on Via Garibaldi. It’s a cozy little spot, filled with the smell of wood and metal. I love it. But today? Ugh. My tools were all over the place. I mean, who leaves a hammer in the pasta drawer? Seriously! I was so mad, I could’ve thrown a stove out the window. But I didn’t. I’m not that reckless. So, I’m workin’ on this custom stove for a family on Via Mazzini. They wanted it to look like a vintage model but with all the modern bells and whistles. Easy peasy, right? Wrong! I cut the wrong piece of metal. Like, how do you mess that up? I was ready to pull my hair out. I mean, I’ve been doin’ this for years! While I’m fixin’ my mistake, I hear this loud commotion outside. Turns out, it’s the annual Cornedo-Vicentino festival kickin’ off! They’ve got music, food stalls, and people dancin’ in the streets. I’m like, “Great, just what I need. A distraction.” But then, I see the food. Oh man, the arancini! I can’t resist. I grab a couple and they’re so good, I forget all about my stove troubles for a sec. But then, back to reality. I rush back to my workshop, and guess what? My neighbor, Marco, decides it’s a good time to borrow my drill. I’m like, “Dude, can’t you see I’m in the middle of a crisis here?” He just laughs and says, “You’ll be fine, stove-master!” Ugh, I could’ve screamed. Finally, after what felt like a million hours, I finish the stove. It’s beautiful! I’m so proud. I load it up and head to deliver it. The family on Via Mazzini is thrilled. They’re all smiles, and I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. But then, I trip on the last step. The stove goes tumbling! I’m like, “Nooooo!” But it lands perfectly. I swear, it was like a scene from a movie. As I’m leavin’, I hear the festival music again. I can’t help but smile. Cornedo-Vicentino, you crazy little town. You drive me nuts, but I love ya. I head back to my workshop, exhausted but happy. I think about how tomorrow’s another day. More stoves, more chaos, and hopefully, less tripping. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Cornedo-Vicentino. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
