Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in Correggio, right? This little gem of a town in Emilia-Romagna. I mean, it’s cute and all, but today? Ugh. First off, I’m late for a meeting at the studio on Via Roma. Classic me. I sprint down the street, dodging old ladies and their shopping carts. Like, come on, lady, I got places to be! I’m sweating bullets, and my mind’s racing. I’m thinking about the new track I’m editing. It’s got this sick beat, but I’m worried it’s too much. You know, like, too many layers. Finally, I get to the studio, and guess what? The sound engineer, Marco, is blasting some random pop song. I’m like, “Dude, we’re not here to remix the charts!” He just shrugs. Typical Marco. I swear, he’s got the attention span of a goldfish. So, we start working, and I’m trying to focus, but then my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Luca. He’s like, “Yo, meet me at Piazza San Quirino!” I’m like, “Dude, I can’t! I’m in the zone!” But he’s persistent. So, I’m torn. Do I ditch the session for a coffee? I decide to go. I mean, it’s Luca, right? So, I grab my stuff and bolt outta there. I’m walking down Via Garibaldi, and the sun’s shining. It’s actually a nice day. I pass by this little gelato shop, and I can’t resist. I grab a scoop of pistachio. Best decision ever! I finally get to the piazza, and Luca’s there, looking all smug. He’s sipping on an espresso like he’s some kind of connoisseur. I roll my eyes. We start chatting, and he tells me about this crazy party happening later. I’m like, “I dunno, man. I’ve got work.” But deep down, I’m tempted. Then, outta nowhere, this street performer starts playing the accordion. And let me tell you, he’s good! I’m vibing, and suddenly, I’m feeling all emotional. Like, music just hits different, you know? I’m thinking about my life, my dreams, and how I’m just a music editor in this tiny town. But then, bam! A pigeon poops on my shoulder. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?!” Luca’s dying laughing. I’m furious, but I can’t help but laugh too. It’s just one of those days, right? After that, we decide to check out the old church, San Francesco. It’s beautiful, but I’m still a bit salty about the pigeon. We walk around, and I’m snapping pics for the ‘gram. Gotta show off my Correggio adventures, right? Then, we hit this little bar on Via Mazzini. I order a spritz, and it’s like heaven in a glass. We’re chatting, laughing, and I forget all about the studio. But then I remember—I have to get back! I rush back to the studio, and Marco’s still there, but now he’s playing some weird techno remix. I’m like, “Dude, what happened to our track?” He just shrugs again. I’m losing it. We finally get back to work, and I’m trying to focus, but my mind keeps drifting. I can’t stop thinking about that street performer and the gelato. I mean, life’s too short, right? By the end of the day, we finally finish the track. It’s not perfect, but it’s got soul. I’m proud of it. I step outside, and the sun’s setting over Correggio. The sky’s all pink and orange, and I’m just standing there, soaking it all in. What a day, man. From the chaos to the beauty, it’s all part of the ride. Correggio, you’ve got my heart. Even with the pigeons.
