Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Watchman in Crispano is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already feelin’ the weight of the world. I grab my coffee from that little bar on Via Roma. You know the one? The one with the best cornetti in town. I swear, if I don’t get my fix, I’m a zombie. Anyway, I’m sippin’ my coffee, and boom! I see this dude on the corner of Via San Rocco. He’s tryin’ to sell some weird stuff. Like, what even is that? A mix of old shoes and... is that a cat? I mean, who buys that? I’m just tryna enjoy my morning, and this guy’s out here makin’ my brain hurt. So, I head to my post. You know, the usual spot by the park on Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. It’s a chill place, but today? Nah, not today. Kids are screamin’, dogs are barkin’, and I’m just tryna keep it together. I see a couple of old ladies arguing over who’s got the best tomatoes. Like, c’mon, it’s Crispano! They’re all good! Then, outta nowhere, this car zooms by. I swear it was goin’ 100 km/h. I’m like, “Dude, slow down! This ain’t a racetrack!” But nah, he just honks and keeps goin’. I’m fumin’. I mean, what if a kid ran out? Ugh, people these days. Around noon, I get a call. Some guy’s lost his dog. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” But I can’t say no. So, I start lookin’ around. I check the alleys off Via Cavour. Nothing. Then I see this fluffy little thing by the fountain. Turns out, it’s not the lost dog. It’s just a random dog chillin’. But hey, I’m happy! I pet it for a bit. Dogs make everything better, ya know? Then, I bump into my buddy Marco. He’s always got some crazy story. Today, he tells me he saw a guy dressed as a pirate on Via Napoli. A pirate! In Crispano! I’m like, “Dude, are you high?” But he swears it’s true. I can’t help but laugh. Only in this town, right? Later, I’m back at my post, and I see this couple arguing. They’re goin’ at it, and I’m just standin’ there, like, “Do I intervene? Or just let it play out?” I mean, it’s kinda entertaining. But then, the guy throws his hands up and storms off. The girl’s left there, lookin’ all sad. I feel bad, but hey, love is weird, man. As the sun starts settin’, I’m thinkin’ about callin’ it a day. But then, I hear this loud crash. I run over to Via Aldo Moro, and there’s a guy who just knocked over a whole cart of gelato. I’m talkin’ like, a disaster zone. Gelato everywhere! People are laughin’, and I can’t help but chuckle too. I mean, it’s a mess, but it’s kinda hilarious. Finally, I wrap up my shift. I’m exhausted but happy. Crispano’s wild, man. It’s got its quirks, its craziness, but it’s home. I head back to that bar on Via Roma for a nightcap. I need it after today. I sit there, watchin’ the world go by, and I think, “Yeah, I love this place.” So, that was my day. Just another day in Crispano. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of madness. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
