Man, what a day! I swear, being a swineherd in Crotone is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I head down Via Roma, and lemme tell ya, that street is always buzzing. People everywhere, like ants on a sugar hill. I’m just trying to get to the market, ya know? But nooo, some dude’s selling these weird-looking pastries. I stop, and I’m like, “What’s that?” Turns out, it’s a “tartufo.” I take a bite, and OMG, it’s like a party in my mouth! But then, I drop it. Ugh! Right on the cobblestones. I’m standing there, heartbroken, like I just lost my best friend. So, I keep walking, and I’m thinking, “Crotone, you beautiful mess.” I pass by the Castello di Carlo V, and it’s just as majestic as ever. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna live in a castle? But then I remember, I’d have to clean it. Nah, I’ll stick to my pigs. Then, I hit up the market on Piazza della Repubblica. It’s packed! I’m dodging people like I’m in some kinda video game. And then, BAM! I bump into this old lady. She’s got a basket full of veggies, and I’m like, “Sorry, ma’am!” But she just glares at me like I stole her last piece of bread. I mean, c’mon! It was an accident! After that, I finally get to my pigs. They’re chillin’ by the beach, and I’m like, “Hey, guys! You won’t believe the day I had!” They just look at me like, “Dude, we’re pigs. We don’t care.” But I swear, they’re the best listeners. Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs up to me. He’s like, “Mister, can I pet your pigs?” I’m like, “Sure, but don’t pull their tails!” So, he pets them, and I’m just standing there, watching. It’s kinda heartwarming, ya know? Like, Crotone’s got this vibe where everyone’s connected. But then, I hear this loud noise. I turn around, and it’s a bunch of tourists taking selfies with my pigs! I’m like, “Hey! These aren’t props!” But they just laugh and keep snapping pics. I mean, I get it, my pigs are cute, but c’mon! By the time the sun starts setting, I’m exhausted. I head back through Via Vittorio Veneto, and it’s all lit up. The lights are twinkling, and I’m feeling all sentimental. Crotone, you crazy town, you’ve got my heart. But then, I trip over a rock. Seriously? I’m just trying to enjoy the view! I laugh it off, though. Gotta love the charm of this place. Finally, I get home, and I’m ready to crash. I plop down on my couch, and I’m like, “What a day.” I think about the old lady, the kid, the tourists, and my pigs. Crotone, you wild ride, I wouldn’t trade you for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy adventure in the beautiful chaos of Crotone. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
