Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Curno, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m an accountant. Yeah, I know, super exciting, right? But hey, someone’s gotta keep track of the numbers. So, I’m heading down Via Roma, and I’m already late. Classic me. I’m dodging people like I’m in some kind of weird obstacle course. Curno’s streets are narrow, and everyone’s out today. Like, can’t a guy just walk without playing Frogger? I finally get to my office on Via Garibaldi, and guess what? My computer decides to throw a tantrum. It’s like, “Nah, I’m not working today.” I’m staring at the screen, and it’s just frozen. I’m about to lose it. I mean, c’mon! I’ve got clients waiting, and I can’t even pull up a spreadsheet. Then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta check out the new café on Via Cavour.” I’m like, “Not now, Marco! I’m in crisis mode!” But then he sends me a pic of this insane-looking pastry. Ugh, why do I have to love food so much? So, I finally get my computer working. Thank you, tech gods! I’m knee-deep in numbers when my boss walks in. He’s all, “Hey, can you handle the audit for the new client?” I’m like, “Sure, why not add more stress?” I mean, it’s not like I have a life or anything. After a few hours of crunching numbers, I’m ready to lose it. I need a break. So, I decide to take a stroll. I hit up the park near Piazza della Libertà. It’s beautiful there, with all the trees and flowers. I sit on a bench, trying to breathe. But then, this kid runs by with a soccer ball and totally kicks it right into my face. I’m like, “Really, kid?!” I’m rubbing my nose, and I see this old man feeding pigeons. He’s got a whole flock around him. I can’t help but laugh. Like, who needs a pet when you can have a hundred pigeons? I’m thinking, “Maybe I should start a pigeon accounting firm.” Anyway, I head back to the office, and guess what? My computer’s frozen AGAIN. I’m about to scream. I swear, if I had a euro for every time that thing crashed, I’d be rich. Finally, I finish my work, and it’s like 7 PM. I’m exhausted. But Marco texts me again, “C’mon, let’s hit that café!” I’m like, “Fine, but I’m not in the mood.” But then I remember that pastry. Ugh, I’m weak. We hit up the café on Via Cavour, and OMG, it’s amazing! The vibe is chill, and the coffee is to die for. I get that pastry, and it’s like a little piece of heaven. I’m sitting there, and suddenly, all the stress melts away. We’re laughing, joking, and I’m like, “Why do I let work stress me out?” Curno’s got this energy, you know? The streets are alive, people are out enjoying life. I need to remember that more often. As I’m walking home, I pass by the old church on Via San Giovanni. It’s beautiful at night, all lit up. I stop for a sec, just taking it in. Curno’s got its quirks, but it’s home. So yeah, that was my day. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of pastry magic. I’m beat, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Curno, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart.
