Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an arborist in Darfo-Boario-Terme is like a rollercoaster ride. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First stop, Via Roma. I’m cruisin’ down the street, and boom! I see this massive oak tree. I mean, HUGE. It’s like the king of trees. But then I notice it’s got this weird fungus. Ugh, not again! I’m like, “C’mon, man! Can’t a tree catch a break?” So, I whip out my tools, ready to save the day. While I’m up there, I hear this commotion. Turns out, it’s a bunch of kids playing soccer. They’re kickin’ the ball around like they’re in the World Cup or somethin’. One kid, Marco, he kicks it too hard and—WHAM! Right into my ladder! I’m like, “Dude, watch it!” But he just laughs. Kids, man. They don’t get it. After that little fiasco, I head over to the Parco delle Terme. Beautiful spot, right? I love it there. The hot springs, the trees, the vibe. But today? Nah. I get there, and it’s packed. Like, where did all these people come from? I can’t even hear myself think! I’m tryin’ to focus on this sickly birch tree, but there’s this couple arguing nearby. I mean, c’mon! Can’t you see I’m busy? The guy’s like, “You never listen!” and the girl’s like, “Well, you never talk!” I’m just standing there, thinking, “Man, I’d rather deal with tree diseases than relationship drama.” Finally, I get to work on the birch. It’s got some serious issues. I’m up in the branches, and I swear, I feel like a squirrel. But then, outta nowhere, I spot this old lady. She’s walking her dog, and the dog decides it’s a great time to chase a squirrel. The dog’s yanking her all over the place. I’m just up there, laughing my head off. After that, I head down to Via Nazionale. I’m starving, right? I stop by this little café. Best coffee in town, no joke. I grab a cappuccino and a slice of torta di riso. Heaven! But then, I spill half of it on my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a walking disaster. So, I’m sittin’ there, trying to clean up, when I overhear this guy talking about the local festival. Apparently, they’re having a parade next week. I’m like, “Sweet! I love parades!” But then I remember I’ll probably be stuck working on trees instead of enjoying the festivities. Typical. By the time I finish my coffee, I’m feelin’ a bit better. I head back to the office, but on the way, I see this beautiful view of the mountains. The sun’s setting, and it’s like a painting. I stop for a sec, just to soak it all in. Moments like this make the craziness worth it, ya know? But then, I get a call. Emergency! A tree’s fallen on a car on Via Garibaldi. I rush over, and it’s a mess. I’m talkin’ branches everywhere, and the car’s totally squished. I’m like, “Who parked under a tree?!” We get it cleared up, but man, what a day. I’m exhausted, but I can’t help but smile. Darfo-Boario-Terme, you crazy little town, you keep me on my toes! I love it, even when it drives me nuts. So, I head home, ready to crash. But as I walk through my door, I can’t help but think about tomorrow. More trees, more adventures. Bring it on!
