Man, what a day! I swear, Desio is wild. Like, I thought I knew this place, but today? Total chaos. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Let’s do this!” I grab my coffee from that little café on Via Garibaldi. You know the one? The barista there is a legend. He always knows my order. But today, he messes it up. I mean, c’mon! I asked for a cappuccino, not a flat white! Anyway, I’m off to set up for this live ad gig at the park near Villa Tittoni. Beautiful spot, right? But as I’m hauling my gear, I trip over a dog. Like, seriously? Who lets their dog run wild on the street? I’m on Via Roma, and I’m just cursing under my breath. “Get a leash, people!” Finally, I get to the park. It’s packed! Families, kids, and this one dude playing the accordion. I’m like, “Great, just what I need—background music from a street performer.” But honestly, he was kinda good. Made me smile a bit. So, I set up my stuff, and boom! My mic starts acting up. I’m sweating bullets. I’m thinking, “This is gonna be a disaster.” But then, outta nowhere, this little kid runs up to me. He’s got ice cream all over his face, and he’s like, “Are you famous?” I laugh and say, “Not yet, kid!” His smile? Priceless. Then, the crowd starts gathering. I’m feeling the energy. I’m hyped! I start my pitch, and people are actually into it. I’m throwing in jokes, and they’re laughing. I’m like, “Yes! This is it!” But then, I see this guy on the side, arms crossed, looking all grumpy. I’m thinking, “Dude, lighten up!” Mid-pitch, I notice a commotion. Some guy on a bike just crashed into a food stand. I mean, what are the odds? Hot dogs flying everywhere! I can’t help but laugh. The grumpy guy? He’s now laughing too. I guess chaos brings people together, huh? After the show, I’m packing up, and I bump into an old friend from high school. We’re catching up, and I’m like, “Remember that time we got lost in Monza?” Classic! But then, I realize I left my phone on the bench. Panic mode activated! I sprint back, heart racing. Thank goodness, it’s still there! I grab it, and I’m like, “Phew!” But then, I see a message from my boss. “Where’s the footage?” Oh man, I totally forgot to record! I’m gonna get chewed out. As I’m walking back, I pass by the old church on Via Mazzini. It’s beautiful, but I’m too stressed to appreciate it. I’m thinking about how I’m gonna explain this to my boss. But then, I see the sunset. It’s stunning. The sky’s all orange and pink. I stop for a sec, take a deep breath, and just soak it in. Desio, man. It’s got its quirks. The streets, the people, the unexpected moments. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even with the dog tripping me and the bike crash. Just another day in the life, right?
