Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Diano-Marina, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to rush to the beach. You know, the one on Lungomare delle Nazioni? Yeah, that one. I was late for a gig. Classic me. I’m sprinting down Via Roma, dodging tourists like I’m in some weird video game. “Excuse me, excuse me!” I’m yelling. People just stare. Like, c’mon, I’m not a tourist attraction! Finally, I get to the beach, and it’s packed. I mean, packed! Families everywhere, kids screaming, and I’m just trying to find my client. I spot them, and they’re waving like they’re on a sinking ship. I rush over, and boom! I trip over a beach towel. Faceplant in the sand. Awesome. Just what I needed. So, I’m brushing off the sand, trying to look professional. My client’s deaf, and they’re laughing. I mean, I get it. It’s funny. But I’m like, “C’mon, I’m here to work!” We start the interpreting, and it’s all good until a seagull swoops down and steals my sandwich. Like, really? I’m starving! I’m trying to focus, and now I’m hangry. After that, we head to a café on Via Diano. I order a cappuccino, and the barista is super nice. But then, I realize I left my wallet at home. Ugh! I’m like, “Can I pay you later?” He just laughs and says, “Sure, but don’t make it a habit!” I promise I won’t, but I’m thinking, “Dude, I’m a sign language interpreter, not a thief!” Then, I get a call. It’s my buddy Marco. He’s like, “You won’t believe what happened!” Apparently, there was a huge festival at the marina. I’m like, “What? Why didn’t I know?” So, I rush over there, and it’s a total vibe. Music, food stalls, people dancing. I’m feeling the energy, you know? But then, I see this guy on Via Aurelia, trying to juggle. He’s awful! Like, seriously, how do you drop three balls in a row? I’m cracking up, and he catches me laughing. He gives me this look like, “You think you can do better?” So, I’m like, “Challenge accepted!” I grab a couple of oranges from a nearby stand, and I’m juggling. Spoiler: I drop one. It rolls away, and I’m chasing it down the street. Finally, I catch it, and everyone’s cheering. I’m like, “Yeah, I’m a pro!” But then, I realize I’m late for my next gig. Again! I dash down Via Cavour, and I’m thinking, “Why do I keep doing this to myself?” I get to the next appointment, and it’s a wedding. Super emotional, right? The couple is signing their vows, and I’m trying not to cry. It’s beautiful. But then, the groom’s mom starts sobbing, and I’m like, “Oh no, not the waterworks!” I’m trying to keep it together, but I’m feeling all the feels. After the wedding, I’m exhausted. I head to the beach again, just to chill. I sit on the sand, watching the sunset. It’s stunning. The sky’s all pink and orange, and I’m thinking, “Okay, maybe today wasn’t so bad.” But then, I see that same seagull. The one that stole my sandwich. It’s eyeing me like it’s plotting something. I’m like, “Not today, bird!” I throw a piece of my snack at it, and it flies off. Victory! So, yeah, Diano-Marina is wild. It’s beautiful, chaotic, and full of surprises. I love it, even when it drives me nuts. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
