Man, what a day! I swear, Enna really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to meet this client at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. You know, the big square with that epic view? Yeah, that one. I’m all pumped, ready to translate some Russian Sign Language, and I get there, and guess what? My client is late. Like, super late. I’m standing there, looking like a lost tourist, and I’m thinking, “C’mon, dude, I got places to be!” Finally, they show up, and they’re all flustered. Turns out they got lost on Via Roma. I mean, it’s not that complicated! Just follow the signs, right? Anyway, we get to work, and it’s all good. I’m signing away, feeling like a rockstar. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon decides to take a dump right on my shoulder. Like, seriously?! I’m in the middle of a translation, and I’m getting pooped on! So, I’m trying to keep my cool, but inside, I’m like, “What did I do to deserve this?” I mean, come on, Enna! You’re beautiful, but your pigeons are savage! After that little fiasco, I needed a break. I strolled down to Via Cavour, grabbed a gelato. Oh man, the pistachio flavor? To die for! I’m sitting there, enjoying my gelato, and I see this old guy playing the accordion. He’s jamming out some classic Italian tunes, and I’m just vibing. It’s one of those moments where you think, “Life is good.” But then, out of nowhere, this group of tourists comes by, and they’re all loud and obnoxious. Like, can’t you see we’re trying to enjoy the ambiance here? They start taking selfies, blocking the whole street. I’m like, “Dude, move it or lose it!” But they just laugh and keep posing. Ugh, people! So, I finish my gelato and head over to Castello di Lombardia. The view from up there is insane! You can see the whole valley. I’m standing there, taking it all in, and I feel this wave of gratitude. Like, wow, I’m lucky to be here. But then, I trip over a rock. Classic me, right? I almost faceplant, but I catch myself. Phew! Later, I had to meet another client at the Enna Cathedral. It’s stunning, by the way. The architecture? Chef’s kiss! But guess what? They were late too! I’m starting to think it’s a trend. I’m pacing around, and I see this cute little café nearby. I pop in for a quick espresso. Best decision ever! The barista was super friendly, and we ended up chatting about life in Enna. Finally, my client shows up, and we get to work. It’s going well until they start talking about some heavy stuff. Like, really emotional stuff. I’m signing my heart out, trying to convey all the feels, and I’m getting choked up too. It’s wild how powerful communication can be, you know? By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. I walk back through the streets, feeling the vibe of Enna. The lights are twinkling, and there’s this magical energy in the air. I think about all the craziness, the pigeons, the tourists, and I can’t help but laugh. So yeah, that was my day in Enna. Full of surprises, a bit of chaos, but totally worth it. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
