Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a dispatcher in Erba is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First call comes in at 8 AM. Some dude on Via Garibaldi is stuck in traffic. I mean, who isn’t? It’s Erba! But this guy’s losing it. He’s yelling about how he’s gonna miss his appointment at the hospital. I’m like, “Bro, it’s just a check-up, chill!” But no, he’s all worked up. I send a car, but it’s stuck on Via XX Settembre. Classic Erba traffic, am I right? Then, I get a call from a lady on Via Roma. She’s freaking out because her cat, Micio, is missing. I’m like, “Lady, it’s a cat, not a toddler!” But I get it, I love my dog too. So, I send a couple of guys to help her out. Meanwhile, I’m trying to juggle all these calls. My head’s spinning like a pizza dough! Around noon, I get a call about a street fair on Piazza della Libertà. I’m thinking, “Great, more traffic!” But then I remember the food. Oh man, the food! Arancini, gelato, and those bomb cannoli. I’m drooling just thinking about it. But no time for that, gotta keep dispatching! Then, outta nowhere, I get a call about a guy who fell off his bike on Via Mazzini. I’m like, “Dude, it’s not the Tour de France!” But I send an ambulance anyway. Turns out, he just scraped his knee. He’s fine, but I’m over here like, “You gotta be kidding me!” By 3 PM, I’m running on fumes. I grab a coffee from that little café on Via Cavour. Best espresso in town, no joke. I’m chugging it down when I get another call. This time, it’s a couple of kids causing chaos at the park near Lago di Pusiano. They’re throwing rocks into the water. I’m like, “What are you, 5?” But I send someone to keep an eye on them. Can’t have a mini riot in Erba, ya know? Then, the day takes a wild turn. I get a call about a wedding at the Chiesa di San Giovanni. Apparently, the groom is stuck in traffic. I’m like, “Dude, you can’t be serious!” But I send a car to rescue him. I mean, who wants to miss their own wedding? That’s a disaster waiting to happen! As the sun starts to set, I’m finally catching a break. I’m thinking, “Maybe I can grab some food after this.” But nope! I get a call about a power outage on Via Vittorio Emanuele. I’m like, “Seriously? Can’t a guy catch a break?” I send a crew to check it out. Finally, around 8 PM, I’m wrapping up. I’m exhausted, but I can’t help but laugh at the craziness of the day. Erba, you wild! I love this city, but man, it keeps me on my toes. I head home, dreaming of that gelato I didn’t get. Tomorrow’s another day, and I’m ready for whatever Erba throws at me next!
