Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in my tiny apartment in Farra-di-Soligo, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I step outta my place on Via Roma, and boom! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m like, “Great start, genius.” But whatever, I brush it off. I’m heading to my fave café, Bar Centrale, for my daily dose of caffeine. I order my usual—cappuccino, extra foam, please! But the barista, Marco, spills it all over the counter. I’m like, “Dude, really?!” He just laughs it off. I mean, I get it, we all have those days, but c’mon! After that, I decide to take a stroll down Via Garibaldi. It’s a beautiful street, lined with those cute little shops. I’m vibing, listening to my tunes, when I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s killing it! I stop to watch, and suddenly, I’m transported. Like, I’m imagining my next animation scene right there. It’s all dramatic and colorful in my head. I’m grinning like an idiot. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by and knocks over my sketchbook! Ugh! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I pick it up, and it’s all crumpled. My heart sinks. I had some killer ideas in there. I’m fuming, but I can’t stay mad. The kid looks so sorry. I just shake my head and laugh. Kids, man. They’re wild. So, I keep walking, trying to shake off the bad vibes. I hit up the park near the Chiesa di San Giovanni. It’s so peaceful there. I plop down on a bench, and I’m just about to dive into sketching when I see this couple having a picnic. They’re all lovey-dovey, and I’m like, “Aww, cute.” But then, they start arguing! Like, full-on shouting. I’m just sitting there, munching on my panino, trying not to eavesdrop, but it’s impossible. I’m thinking, “This is better than Netflix!” After the drama, I finally get some sketching done. I’m feeling inspired, ya know? But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain! Like, what the heck, weather? I scramble to pack my stuff, and I’m soaked in seconds. I dash to the nearest café, which happens to be Caffè del Teatro. I’m dripping everywhere, and the barista gives me this look like, “What’s wrong with you?” I just laugh and order a hot chocolate. I need something to warm me up. While I’m sipping my drink, I overhear this group talking about the local art scene. They’re raving about an upcoming exhibition at the Villa dei Cedri. I’m like, “Wait, what?!” I had no idea! I’m so outta the loop. I scribble down the details, feeling a spark of excitement. Maybe I’ll showcase my work there someday. Who knows? Finally, the rain stops, and I head back home. I’m walking down Via Vittorio Emanuele, and the sunset is just stunning. The sky’s all pink and orange, and I can’t help but smile. It’s like the universe is saying, “Hey, it’s all good.” I take a deep breath, feeling grateful for the chaos of the day. I get home, throw my stuff down, and just crash on my couch. I’m exhausted but happy. Farra-di-Soligo, you crazy little town, you never fail to surprise me. I wouldn’t trade this wild ride for anything. Here’s to more days like this—just maybe with fewer spills and arguments, yeah?
