Man, what a day! I woke up in Fiano-Romano, and I swear, I thought it was just gonna be another chill day. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up Via Roma for some coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m talking about that strong espresso that slaps you awake. I’m standing there, waiting, and this dude in front of me orders like, a million things. Like, bro, it’s a coffee shop, not a buffet! I’m losing my patience, but whatever. Finally, I get my cup, and it’s like heaven in a mug. Then I decide to stroll down to the Parco della Rimembranza. It’s a nice park, you know? Trees, birds, the whole vibe. I’m just vibing, when suddenly, I see this kid flying a kite. And I’m like, “Aww, that’s cute.” But then, outta nowhere, the kite gets stuck in a tree. Classic! The kid starts crying, and I’m like, “Dude, it’s just a kite!” But I get it, I really do. I mean, I once lost my favorite cap in a tree. So, I try to help. I’m climbing this tree like I’m Tarzan or something. I’m halfway up, and I hear someone shout, “Hey! What are you doing?” It’s some old lady, probably thinking I’m a total weirdo. I’m like, “Just saving a kite, no biggie!” She rolls her eyes. Whatever, lady. Finally, I get the kite down, and the kid is all smiles again. I’m feeling like a hero, right? But then, I look down, and my phone is buzzing like crazy. I forgot I had a meeting! Ugh! I sprint back to Via Roma, dodging people like I’m in a video game. I get to my spot, and guess what? My laptop’s dead. Like, dead dead. I’m freaking out. I’m in Fiano-Romano, and I need to get this done! So, I run to the nearest bar, and I’m like, “Can I plug this in?” The barista looks at me like I’m nuts. But she’s cool and lets me. While I’m waiting for it to charge, I start chatting with this guy at the bar. Turns out, he’s from the same town as me! What are the odds? We start talking about Fiano-Romano, and he’s like, “You ever been to the Castello di Fiano?” I’m like, “Dude, I live here!” So, we decide to check it out after my meeting. Finally, my laptop’s charged, and I manage to get my work done. Phew! We head to the castle, and it’s stunning. The view from up there? Breathtaking! You can see the whole town, the hills, everything. I’m snapping pics like a tourist. I mean, who wouldn’t? But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. We’re running down the hill, laughing like idiots. I’m soaked, but I don’t even care. It’s one of those moments, you know? After the rain, we hit up a local pizzeria. Best pizza ever! I’m talking about that thin crust, fresh toppings, the works. I’m devouring it like I haven’t eaten in days. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. Fiano-Romano, man. It’s got its quirks, but it’s home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. What a wild ride!
