Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up in Foligno, right? This little gem in Umbria. I mean, it’s not Rome, but it’s got its own vibe. The cobblestone streets, the old buildings, and that sweet smell of fresh pasta wafting through the air. Ugh, I love it here. First off, I hit up Via Garibaldi for my morning coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m talking about that rich, dark espresso that slaps you awake. I’m standing there, waiting, and this dude in front of me spills his cappuccino all over the counter. Like, come on, man! It’s 8 AM! Get it together! I’m trying to enjoy my caffeine fix, not watch a coffee disaster unfold. Anyway, I finally get my drink, and I’m feeling good. I stroll down to Piazza della Repubblica. It’s buzzing with life. Street performers, tourists snapping pics, and locals just chillin’. I spot this guy playing the accordion, and I can’t help but smile. It’s like the soundtrack of my day. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon swoops down and lands on my shoulder! I freak out! Like, what the heck, bird? Personal space, please! After that little drama, I head to my studio on Via Mazzini. I’m an Art Director, so I’m all about the creative chaos. But today? Today was a whole different level. I walk in, and my team is in a frenzy. Apparently, the client wants a complete redesign of the project. Like, are you kidding me? We just spent weeks on the last one! I’m ready to pull my hair out. But then, I remember this cute little gelato place around the corner. Gelato fixes everything, right? So, I take a breather and head to Gelateria La Dolce Vita. I order a scoop of pistachio and a scoop of stracciatella. OMG, it’s like heaven in a cup! I’m sitting there, savoring every bite, and suddenly, I’m happy again. Back to the studio, and I’m pumped. We brainstorm, throw ideas around, and somehow, we come up with something even better than before. It’s like magic! I’m feeling like a rockstar. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the festival tonight!” Festival? What festival? Turns out, it’s the Festa di San Feliciano. I’m like, “Heck yes!” I wrap up at the studio and head to the main square. The energy is insane! Lights everywhere, food stalls, and people dancing. I grab a plate of porchetta, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Seriously, I could eat that for days. But then, I see this guy trying to juggle fire. And I’m thinking, “This is gonna end badly.” Spoiler alert: it does. He drops a torch, and it rolls right towards me! I jump back like a ninja. My heart’s racing, but I can’t help but laugh. As the night goes on, I’m dancing, eating, and just soaking it all in. Foligno is alive! I bump into some friends, and we’re all just vibing. I even try to speak some Italian, but I’m pretty sure I butcher it. “Ciao, bella!” I say to a girl, and she just laughs. Whatever, I’m having a blast. Finally, I stumble home, exhausted but happy. I think about how crazy today was. From coffee spills to fire juggling, it was a rollercoaster. Foligno, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
