Man, what a day! I swear, Forli really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’ it’s gonna be a chill day. I grab my fishing gear, head outta my place on Via G. Marconi. You know, the street with that little café? Yeah, the one with the best cappuccino in town. I’m buzzin’ for some fresh fish, maybe a nice catch at the river. I stroll down to the Parco della Resistenza, and it’s packed! Like, what’s up with that? I thought it was just me and the fish today. Kids runnin’ around, old folks chillin’ on benches, and I’m just tryin’ to find my zen. I’m like, “Dude, I just wanna fish!” But nah, the universe had other plans. So, I finally get to the river, right? It’s the Montone River, and it’s lookin’ good. I set up my rod, cast it out, and boom! First bite! I’m pumped, reelin’ it in, and guess what? It’s a shoe. A freakin’ shoe! Who loses a shoe in the river? I’m laughin’ so hard, I almost fall in. Like, c’mon, Forli, what’s next? A lost sock? Then, outta nowhere, this guy shows up. He’s all decked out in fishing gear, like he’s ready for a tournament or somethin’. He’s like, “Hey, you catchin’ anything?” I’m like, “Yeah, a shoe. Wanna trade?” He just stares at me, confused. I mean, c’mon, lighten up, buddy! After that, I decide to take a break. I head over to Via delle Torri, you know, the street with all the shops? I’m hopin’ to grab a bite. I find this little place called “Trattoria da Nino.” Best pasta ever! I order some tagliatelle al ragù, and it’s like a hug in a bowl. Seriously, I could marry that dish. While I’m munchin’, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, and I’m just sittin’ there, tryin’ not to laugh. The guy’s like, “You never listen!” and the girl’s like, “Well, you never talk!” I’m thinkin’, “Man, I’d rather be fishing.” After lunch, I head back to the river. I’m feelin’ good, ready to catch some real fish this time. But nope! Just more trash. A plastic bottle, a can, and another shoe! What’s with the shoes, Forli? Is there a shoe thief on the loose? Then, I see this old man, sitting by the river, just chillin’. He’s got this huge grin, and I’m like, “What’s your secret, man?” He looks at me and says, “Just enjoy the moment, my friend.” And I’m like, “Yeah, but I’m tryin’ to catch fish!” He just laughs. I swear, that guy’s got wisdom. Finally, I decide to call it a day. I’m walkin’ back through the streets, and I pass by the Piazza Saffi. It’s beautiful, man. The old buildings, the vibe, it’s all good. I stop for gelato at that place on the corner. Best decision ever! I get a scoop of pistachio and chocolate. Heaven in a cone! As I’m walkin’ home, I can’t help but think about the day. It was wild, unexpected, and kinda hilarious. I didn’t catch any fish, but I caught some good vibes. Forli, you crazy city, you always keep me on my toes. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
