Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in Galliate, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning espresso. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing there, waiting, and this dude in front of me orders like, I dunno, a million different things. I’m like, “Bro, it’s 8 AM, not a coffee shop buffet!” Finally, I get my shot of caffeine, and it’s like liquid gold. I’m feeling pumped! Then, I head over to the market at Piazza della Libertà. Man, that place is always buzzing. Fresh fruits, veggies, and the smell of pastries wafting through the air. I’m eyeing these bomb-looking croissants, but then I see this old lady, Nonna Maria, trying to haggle for some tomatoes. She’s fierce, man! Like, “I’m not paying more than 2 euros!” I’m thinking, “You go, Nonna!” But then she turns to me and says, “You should try these, they’re the best!” And I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So, I buy the tomatoes, right? But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! Like, seriously, it’s a monsoon! I’m sprinting down Via Garibaldi, dodging puddles like I’m in some weird obstacle course. I’m soaked, my tomatoes are squished, and I’m just laughing at the absurdity of it all. Finally, I duck into this little trattoria, Trattoria da Gigi. Best decision ever! I order a plate of risotto alla Milanese, and it’s like a hug in a bowl. I’m scarfing it down, and the owner, Gigi, comes over. He’s this big guy with a heart of gold. He’s like, “You like? I make with love!” And I’m like, “Dude, I can taste the love!” After that, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy. But then, I step outside, and guess what? The rain’s stopped, but the streets are a mess. I’m walking down Via Cavour, and I see this guy trying to fix his bike. He’s cursing up a storm, and I’m just standing there, laughing. Like, “Dude, it’s just a bike!” But then he looks at me and says, “At least I’m not stuck in traffic!” Touché, my friend, touché. So, I decide to take a stroll by the Castello Visconteo. It’s this old castle, super cool, right? I’m just chilling there, taking pics, when I see this couple having a picnic. They’re all lovey-dovey, and I’m like, “Aww, young love.” But then, the guy spills wine all over the blanket! I’m cracking up. Like, “Dude, you had one job!” As the sun starts to set, I’m walking back home, and I can’t help but think about how wild today was. From coffee chaos to tomato drama, and that risotto? Man, Galliate never disappoints. It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions, and I’m here for it. I finally crash on my couch, exhausted but happy. I’m scrolling through my pics, and I can’t help but smile. This city, with its quirks and charm, always keeps me on my toes. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
