Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a watchmaker in Gioia-del-Colle is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning espresso. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing there, waiting, and this guy in front of me orders like, a million things. I’m like, “Dude, it’s a coffee shop, not a buffet!” Finally, I get my shot of caffeine, and it’s like liquid gold. I’m feelin’ pumped, ready to tackle the day. So, I stroll down to my shop on Via Garibaldi. It’s a cozy little place, filled with clocks tickin’ away like they’re in a race. I love it. But then, BAM! My phone buzzes. It’s a customer, freakin’ out about a broken watch. I mean, come on! It’s just a watch, not a heart transplant! But I get it, time is everything, right? I rush over to his place on Via Vittorio Emanuele. The dude’s pacing like a caged lion. I take a look at the watch, and it’s a mess. I’m talkin’ gears everywhere, like a watch exploded. I’m tryin’ to keep my cool, but inside, I’m like, “Why do people treat their watches like this?” I fix it up, and he’s all smiles. I’m like, “Great, now I’m a hero.” But then, I step outside, and it’s like the universe decided to mess with me. It starts pouring! I mean, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I’m dodging puddles on Via Roma again, and I’m just cursing the weather. “Why can’t it just be sunny for once?” Finally, I get back to my shop, dripping wet. I’m tryin’ to dry off when this old lady walks in. She’s got this ancient clock that looks like it’s been through a war. I’m thinkin’, “Lady, this thing’s older than my grandma!” But she’s all sentimental about it. I can’t say no, so I take it in. While I’m working on it, I start daydreaming. Like, what if clocks could talk? “Hey, I’ve seen some stuff, buddy!” I chuckle to myself. But then, I realize I’m talking to a clock. Great, now I’m losing it. After a while, I finally fix the clock. The lady’s over the moon. She’s like, “You’re a magician!” I’m just a watchmaker, but hey, I’ll take it. Then, I decide to take a break. I head to the piazza, you know, the one with the big church? I grab a slice of pizza from that little place on the corner. Best pizza ever! I’m munching away, and I see this street performer. He’s juggling and making everyone laugh. I’m like, “Man, I wish I could do that.” But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by and knocks my pizza right outta my hand! I’m standing there, mouth agape, like, “Did that just happen?” The kid just giggles and runs off. I’m left with a sad, empty plate. I head back to my shop, still grumbling about the pizza. But then, I get a call from a fancy client. They want a custom watch. I’m like, “Finally, some good news!” I’m pumped again. I spend the rest of the day sketching designs, lost in my world. Gioia-del-Colle is buzzing outside, but I’m in my zone. I can hear the laughter, the chatter, the life. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. As the sun sets, I lock up the shop. I’m exhausted but happy. Today was a wild ride. I mean, who knew a day in Gioia-del-Colle could be so crazy? I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe less rain, more pizza? Fingers crossed!
