Man, what a day! I woke up in Itri, and I swear, it felt like the universe was throwing curveballs at me left and right. First off, I’m a manager, right? So, I gotta keep my cool. But today? Nah, not happening. So, I’m strolling down Via Roma, coffee in hand, thinking, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Wrong! I hit the corner by the old castle, Castello di Itri, and boom! There’s a parade. A freakin’ parade! I mean, who even knew they had parades on a random Tuesday? I’m dodging confetti like it’s a minefield. Then, I see this kid, probably 10, juggling oranges. Like, seriously? Oranges? In Itri? I’m just trying to get to my meeting, and this kid’s got a crowd. I’m like, “Dude, I’m impressed, but I gotta go!” But the crowd? They’re loving it. I’m standing there, half-amused, half-annoyed. Finally, I make it to the meeting at the café on Piazza della Repubblica. I’m all set to pitch this new project. But guess what? My laptop decides to die. Just like that. I’m staring at a black screen, and my heart’s racing. I’m sweating bullets. I’m thinking, “Great, just great.” But then, my buddy Marco shows up. He’s got this huge grin, and I’m like, “Dude, not now!” But he’s got a plan. He pulls out his tablet, and we’re good to go. I’m back in the game! I’m feeling pumped, like I can take on the world. After the meeting, I’m walking down Via Itri, and I spot this little gelato shop. You know the one? Gelateria da Marco? I can’t resist. I grab a scoop of pistachio, and it’s like heaven in a cup. I’m standing there, just enjoying life, when I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some guy on a scooter just wiped out. I’m like, “Oh man, this is gonna be good.” He gets up, brushes himself off, and starts laughing. I’m dying. I mean, who laughs after a crash? Only in Itri, right? Then, I head over to the old town, and it’s just beautiful. The narrow streets, the old stone buildings, the vibe. I’m feeling all philosophical, like, “Why do I even stress?” But then I remember my to-do list. Ugh. I run into an old lady selling fresh tomatoes. She’s got this huge smile, and I can’t help but buy a couple. I mean, they’re from Itri! They gotta be good, right? I’m thinking about making a sauce later. But then, I get a call. It’s my boss. He’s like, “We need to talk.” I’m like, “Now? Seriously?” I’m standing there, in the middle of the street, trying to sound professional while dodging tourists. Finally, I wrap up the call, and I’m just done. I sit on a bench by the fountain in Piazza della Repubblica, and I’m like, “What a day.” I can’t even. I’m laughing at myself. I mean, who knew Itri could be so wild? As the sun sets, I’m walking back home, and I can’t help but smile. Itri, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. Even with all the chaos, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life, right?
