Man, what a day! I woke up in Lanciano, and I swear, I thought it was gonna be chill. You know, just another day in this beautiful town. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Corso Trento e Trieste. It’s like the main drag, right? I’m walking, coffee in hand, feeling all fancy. Then BAM! A pigeon decides my shoulder is its new perch. Like, dude, really? I’m not a statue! I freaked out, flailing my arms like a maniac. People were staring. Great start, right? So, I finally shake off the feathered menace and head to the office. I’m a System Analyst, which sounds all cool and techy, but honestly, it’s mostly me staring at screens and pretending to understand what’s going on. But today? Today was different. My boss, let’s call him Mr. Grumpy, decides to drop a last-minute project on me. Like, come on! I was just getting comfy with my spreadsheets! After that, I needed a break. I strolled down Via dei Frentani. It’s a cute little street, lined with shops and cafes. I thought, “Hey, let’s grab a slice of pizza.” I mean, who can resist Lanciano’s pizza? It’s legendary! So I pop into this place, and the guy behind the counter is like, “What do you want?” I’m like, “Uh, the usual?” He rolls his eyes. I mean, c’mon, it’s not like I’m asking for a unicorn pizza! While I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, and I’m just standing there, pizza in hand, trying not to laugh. The guy’s like, “You never listen!” and she’s like, “Well, you never talk!” Classic! I’m thinking, “Man, I’m glad I’m single.” Finally, I get my pizza, and it’s glorious. I take a bite, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I’m in heaven! But then, I spill some sauce on my shirt. Of course! Just my luck. Now I look like a walking pizza advertisement. After lunch, I head back to the office, and guess what? My computer crashes. Just my luck, right? I’m sitting there, staring at the screen like it owes me money. I’m about to lose it. I mean, I’ve got deadlines, people! So I call IT, and they’re like, “Have you tried turning it off and on?” Seriously? I’m not a toddler! By the time I finally get my computer working, it’s late. I’m exhausted. I decide to take a walk to clear my head. I wander down to Piazza Plebiscito. It’s beautiful at night, all lit up. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. The vibe is chill, and I can hear the distant sounds of laughter from a nearby bar. Then, out of nowhere, this street performer starts playing the accordion. It’s like a scene from a movie! I’m smiling, feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I toss him a couple of euros because, hey, he deserves it. But then, I see a group of kids running around, and one of them trips and falls. I’m like, “Oh no!” But he gets up, brushes himself off, and starts laughing. Kids are tough, man. I wish I could be that carefree again. As I head home, I can’t help but think about how crazy today was. From pigeon attacks to pizza disasters, it was a rollercoaster. But that’s Lanciano for you. It’s full of surprises, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in this beautiful town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
