Man, what a day! I swear, Lancusi-Penta-Bolano is a wild ride. I woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it decided to take a vacation. So, I’m scrambling, throwing on whatever I can find. I mean, who needs matching socks, right? First stop, the café on Via Roma. Best espresso in town. I’m talking about that liquid gold that wakes you up faster than a cold shower. But guess what? They ran out of my fave pastry. Like, seriously? It’s a crime against humanity! I was ready to throw a fit, but I just settled for a croissant. Not the same, but whatever. Then, I had to rush to the studio on Via San Giovanni. Traffic was a nightmare. I mean, who knew Lancusi-Penta-Bolano had rush hour? I thought it was just a sleepy little town. Nope! Cars everywhere, honking like they were in a concert. I was about to lose it. I mean, c’mon people, it’s not a race! Finally made it to the studio, and guess what? The band was late. Classic. I’m sitting there, tapping my foot, trying to keep my cool. I’m a music editor, not a babysitter! But when they finally rolled in, it was like a tornado of energy. They were all hyped up, talking over each other. I couldn’t even catch a word. We started recording, and wow, the magic happened. I mean, these guys can play! The sound was electric. I was vibing so hard, I forgot about the croissant disaster. But then, outta nowhere, the drummer breaks a stick. Like, really? In the middle of the best take? I almost lost it. But hey, we laughed it off. Gotta love the chaos. After the session, I needed a breather. So, I strolled down to Piazza della Libertà. It’s this beautiful square, you know? The fountain was bubbling, and the sun was setting. I took a moment to just breathe. But then, I saw this street performer. He was playing the accordion, and it was like magic. I dropped a few coins, and he gave me a nod. Felt like a rockstar for a sec. But then, my phone buzzed. It was my buddy Marco. He wanted to meet up at the bar on Via delle Rose. I was like, “Sure, why not?” So, I hustled over there. The bar was packed, as usual. I squeezed through the crowd, dodging elbows and spilled drinks. When I finally found Marco, he was already three drinks in. Classic Marco. He started telling me about his latest “big idea.” You know, the one that’s gonna change the world. I just nodded, trying to keep a straight face. I mean, bless his heart, but he’s always got these wild schemes. As the night went on, we laughed, we joked, and I forgot all about the craziness of the day. But then, outta nowhere, the power went out. Just like that! The whole bar went dark. People were freaking out, but I just started singing. I mean, what else can you do? Eventually, the lights came back on, and everyone cheered. It was like we were all in this together. I felt this weird sense of community. In that moment, I realized, Lancusi-Penta-Bolano might be chaotic, but it’s home. So, I stumbled back to my place, exhausted but happy. I mean, what a day! Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
