Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Lequile really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m rollin’ down Via Roma, just me and my thoughts. I’m thinkin’ about that new glaze I wanna try. You know, the one that looks like the ocean? But then, BAM! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic Lequile, right? These streets are like a game of hopscotch, but with more potential for faceplants. Anyway, I finally make it to my studio on Via San Giovanni. It’s cozy, filled with clay and dreams. I’m all set to throw some pots. But then, my buddy Marco shows up. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta see this!” And I’m like, “What now?” Turns out, there’s a festival in the piazza. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need. More distractions.” But Marco’s all hyped, so I’m like, “Fine, let’s go.” We head over to Piazza Sant’Antonio. It’s packed! Food stalls everywhere, people laughing, music blaring. I’m feelin’ the vibe, ya know? But then, I see this guy juggling fire. Like, seriously? Fire? In a crowd? I’m half impressed, half terrified. One wrong move and it’s a trip to the ER. So, I grab a slice of that famous Lequile pizza. Man, it’s heavenly! The cheese, the sauce, the crust—perfection! I’m munching away, and then I see this old lady, Nonna Rosa, selling her handmade ceramics. I love her stuff! It’s like she pours her soul into every piece. I’m like, “Nonna, you’re a legend!” She just smiles, wrinkles and all. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by and knocks over her whole display. I’m talkin’ chaos! Plates and bowls everywhere. I’m fuming! Like, how could you?! Nonna’s face drops, and my heart sinks. I rush over to help her pick up the pieces. I’m like, “Don’t worry, Nonna, we got this!” After we clean up, I’m feelin’ a bit better. But then, I see the kid’s mom. She’s just standing there, scrolling on her phone. I’m like, “Excuse me, your kid just wrecked a whole lifetime of work!” But she just shrugs. Ugh, people! Finally, I head back to my studio, all fired up (pun intended). I sit at the wheel, and I’m throwin’ clay like a madman. It’s therapeutic, ya know? I’m lost in the rhythm, and suddenly, I’m making the best pots of my life. I’m talkin’ masterpieces! But then, I hear a knock. It’s Marco again. “Dude, you gotta come see this!” I’m like, “What now?” Turns out, there’s a street performer doing this insane dance routine on Via Vittorio Emanuele. I’m like, “Fine, one more distraction.” We head over, and this guy is wild! He’s flipping and spinning, and the crowd’s going nuts. I’m laughing so hard, I almost forget about my pots. Almost. But then, I see a little girl in the front row, eyes wide, totally mesmerized. It hits me—this is what it’s all about. After the show, I’m back in my studio, and I can’t stop smiling. Lequile, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. Sure, you threw some curveballs today, but you also gave me joy, laughter, and a reminder of why I love this place. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but mostly ups. I’m exhausted, but in the best way. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
