Man, what a day! Seriously, Lido-Adriano, you’ve got me all twisted up. I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day by the beach. You know, grab a coffee at Bar Pasticceria Da Marco on Viale delle Nazioni, soak up some sun, maybe write a few lines. But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I step outta my place on Via dei Pini, and boom! It’s like a sauna out there. I’m talkin’ sweat dripping down my back before I even hit the pavement. Like, c’mon, it’s not even 9 AM! I’m already regretting my life choices. But whatever, I’m here for the vibes, right? So I hit up Marco’s for that coffee. Best cappuccino in town, no cap. But guess what? The line is out the door! I’m standing there, tapping my foot, watching the locals chat it up like they’re at a family reunion. I’m like, “Dude, I just want my caffeine fix!” Finally, I get my drink, and it’s like liquid gold. I take a sip, and it’s all worth it. Then I decide to stroll down to the beach. The sun’s shining, the waves are crashing, and I’m feeling good. But wait! What’s that? A seagull swoops down and tries to steal my croissant! I’m flailing my arms like a madman, yelling, “Get away, you feathered thief!” People are staring, and I’m just there, defending my breakfast like it’s the last croissant on Earth. After that little drama, I finally plop down on the sand. I’m ready to write, but my mind’s racing. I can’t focus! I keep thinking about the weird guy I saw on Via delle Nazioni earlier. He was wearing a full-on suit, but flip-flops. Like, what’s the deal with that? Business on top, beach party on the bottom? I can’t even. Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud music. I look up, and there’s a group of kids setting up a mini rave right by the water. I’m talking speakers, lights, the whole shebang. I’m torn between being annoyed and wanting to join in. I mean, who doesn’t love a spontaneous dance party? But I’m also trying to write, ya know? So I’m sitting there, half-dancing, half-writing, when I get a text from my buddy, Luca. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the market on Via dei Gabbiani. They’ve got fresh seafood!” Now, I’m a sucker for seafood. I pack up my stuff and head over. The market is buzzing! Fresh fish everywhere, and the smell? Oh man, it’s heavenly. I grab some prawns and a couple of clams. I’m feeling like a chef already. But then, I see this old lady trying to haggle for a fish. She’s going off, waving her hands, and I’m just standing there, laughing. She’s got more energy than I do! After the market, I decide to hit up the gelato place on Viale dei Pini. I mean, it’s a must, right? I get a scoop of pistachio and a scoop of stracciatella. I’m in heaven! But then, I drop my cone. Like, seriously? I’m standing there, staring at the ground like it just betrayed me. By now, it’s late afternoon, and I’m exhausted but happy. I head back to the beach to catch the sunset. The sky is on fire, all oranges and pinks. I sit there, soaking it all in, and I can’t help but think, “This is life.” But then, just as I’m about to leave, I see that same seagull again. This time, it’s eyeing my bag. I’m like, “Not today, buddy!” I pack up my stuff and make a run for it. So yeah, Lido-Adriano, you’ve been a wild ride today. From coffee chaos to beach battles, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
