Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Watchman in Maranello ain’t for the faint-hearted. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window, and I’m like, “Great, another day in the land of Ferraris.” I mean, who wouldn’t wanna live in a place where the streets smell like gasoline and dreams? First thing I do is grab my coffee from Bar Pasticceria, you know, the one on Via Dino Ferrari. Best cappuccino in town, hands down. I’m sippin’ it, and I see this dude in a bright red Ferrari zoom past. I’m like, “Dude, chill! It’s not a racetrack!” But hey, it’s Maranello. Speed is kinda the vibe here. So, I head to my post. I’m stationed near the Museo Ferrari. You know, the place where they keep all the shiny cars? I’m just mindin’ my own business when this family rolls up. They’re all excited, takin’ selfies with the cars. I can’t help but smile. Kids are like, “Look, Mom! A real Ferrari!” And I’m thinkin’, “Yeah, kid, but can you afford the insurance?” Then, outta nowhere, this guy starts yellin’. I look over, and it’s some tourist who’s lost. He’s flappin’ his arms like a chicken. “Where’s Via Abetone Inferiore?” he shouts. I’m like, “Bro, it’s just down the road!” But he’s so flustered, I swear he’s about to cry. I point him in the right direction, and he bolts off like he’s late for a race. But then, oh man, the drama kicks in. A couple of locals start arguing over some parking spot. I mean, c’mon! It’s just a spot! But they’re goin’ at it like it’s the end of the world. One guy’s like, “I was here first!” and the other’s like, “Yeah, but I got a Ferrari!” I’m just standin’ there, tryin’ not to laugh. Like, really? You’re gonna fight over a parking spot in Maranello? After that, I take a stroll down Via Maranello. The vibe is chill, but then I spot this old man sittin’ on a bench. He’s got this huge grin, and I’m like, “What’s up, dude?” He starts tellin’ me stories about the old days when Enzo Ferrari was still around. I’m all ears. He’s like, “Back then, we didn’t have all these fancy cars. Just passion.” I’m thinkin’, “Man, I wish I could’ve seen that.” Then, I get a call on my radio. “We got a situation at the piazza!” I rush over, heart racin’. Turns out, it’s just a street performer. He’s jugglin’ fire and has a crowd around him. I’m like, “Phew, false alarm!” But then, he drops a torch, and it rolls right towards me. I jump back like a scared cat. Everyone laughs, and I’m just standin’ there, red-faced. As the day winds down, I’m feelin’ a mix of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster. I grab a gelato from Gelateria Dondoli. Best gelato ever, by the way. I sit on the steps of the church, just watchin’ the sunset. The sky’s all orange and pink, and I’m thinkin’, “Man, Maranello, you’re a wild ride.” So, yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, emotional, beautiful day in Maranello. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
