Man, what a day! I swear, Marigliano really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m heading down Via Roma, and I’m already late for a meeting. Classic me. I’m dodging people like I’m in some kinda video game. And then, boom! I trip over a stray dog. Like, c’mon, dude! You gotta watch where you’re going! The dog just looks at me like, “What’s your problem?” I’m like, “You’re the one in my way!” Finally, I get to the office on Via San Rocco. I’m sweating bullets. My boss, Marco, is already there, tapping his foot like he’s auditioning for a drum solo. He’s all, “You’re late!” I’m like, “Yeah, well, I had a run-in with a dog. You know how it is.” He just rolls his eyes. Classic Marco. So, we’re in this meeting, right? And it’s all about some new project. I’m trying to focus, but all I can think about is that amazing pizza I had last week at Pizzeria Da Michele. Seriously, best pizza ever! I mean, who doesn’t love a good Margherita? But back to the meeting. Suddenly, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Luca. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta see this!” I’m thinking, “What now?” Turns out, there’s a street fair on Via Nazionale. I’m like, “Can’t a guy catch a break?” But then I remember the cannoli. Oh man, the cannoli! After the meeting, I bolt outta there. I’m practically sprinting to Via Nazionale. The fair is packed! People everywhere, music blasting, and the smell of fried dough in the air. I’m in heaven! I grab a cannoli, and it’s like a little piece of paradise. I’m just standing there, savoring it, when I hear someone shout my name. It’s my old high school buddy, Gianni! We haven’t seen each other in ages. We start catching up, and he’s telling me about his new job. I’m like, “Dude, that’s awesome!” But then he drops the bomb: he’s moving to Milan. I’m like, “No way! You can’t leave me here!” But he’s all excited about the big city life. I get it, but still… Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I just got my cannoli! Everyone’s scrambling for cover. I’m laughing, though. It’s like a scene from a movie. We duck into a little café on Via Vittorio Emanuele. I order a coffee, and Gianni gets a spritz. We’re just chilling, reminiscing about the good ol’ days. But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s work. They need me back ASAP. I’m like, “Ugh, can’t a guy enjoy a rainy day?” I say goodbye to Gianni, and I’m off again. I’m walking back, and I can’t help but feel a bit nostalgic. Marigliano has this charm, you know? The narrow streets, the old buildings, the way the light hits the cobblestones. It’s like a postcard. But then I remember the meeting. I’m like, “Get it together, man!” I finally get back to the office, and Marco’s waiting. He’s all, “You’re back!” I’m like, “Yeah, and I brought the rain with me.” He just shakes his head. So, that was my day in Marigliano. Full of ups and downs, dogs and cannoli, old friends and rain. I’m exhausted, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
