Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a raftsman in Marina-di-Massa ain’t for the faint-hearted. Woke up this mornin’ to the sound of waves crashin’ against the shore. The sun was shinin’ bright, like it was tryin’ to blind me. I grabbed my coffee from that little café on Via Roma. You know the one? The one with the best pastries. I swear, their cornetti are like little bites of heaven. So, I’m cruisin’ down the Lungomare, feelin’ all good, right? Then BAM! I see this huge yacht parked like it owns the place. I mean, c’mon! Who needs a yacht in a town like this? I’m just tryin’ to make a livin’ here, floatin’ people around on my raft. But hey, I guess some folks just gotta show off. Anyway, I get to the dock, and it’s chaos. Tourists everywhere, takin’ selfies like they’re in a movie or somethin’. I’m like, “Yo, it’s just a raft, chill!” But they don’t listen. They’re all about that Instagram life. I can’t blame ‘em, though. The view from the water? Stunning! You can see the Apuan Alps in the background, all majestic and stuff. Makes ya feel small, ya know? So, I finally get my first group of the day. A family from Milan. They’re all excited, talkin’ a mile a minute. The kids are bouncin’ around like they’ve had too much gelato. I’m tryin’ to keep it together, but one of ‘em, little Luca, he keeps askin’ me a million questions. “Why is the water blue? Can we see dolphins? Is that a pirate ship?” I’m like, “Dude, chill! It’s just the sea!” But I can’t help but smile. Kids are the best. Then, outta nowhere, the sky turns dark. Like, seriously? I’m thinkin’, “Not today, please!” But the wind picks up, and I can feel the storm comin’. I’m tryin’ to wrap up the tour, but the fam wants to stay out longer. I’m like, “Guys, we gotta head back!” But they’re all, “Just a few more minutes!” Ugh! I’m feelin’ the panic rise. Finally, I convince ‘em to head back. We’re paddlin’ like mad, and just as we get close to the dock, the rain starts pourin’. I’m soaked, they’re soaked, and I’m laughin’ like a maniac. It’s a mess, but it’s kinda fun, ya know? We pull up, and I’m like, “Welcome to Marina-di-Massa, where the weather changes faster than your mood!” After that, I’m done for the day. I head to my favorite spot on Via delle Pinete. Grab a slice of pizza, and man, it’s the best. I sit there, watchin’ the sunset over the beach. The colors are insane! Pink, orange, all mixed together. Makes ya forget about the craziness of the day. But then, I see that yacht again. It’s leavin’ the harbor, and I can’t help but feel a bit jealous. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna be out there, livin’ the high life? But then I remember, I got my raft, my little piece of paradise. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter and chaos. Just another day in Marina-di-Massa. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
