Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a glazier in Marsciano is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my tools and head out. I’m walkin’ down Via Roma, and I swear, the cobblestones are out to get me. I trip over one, spill my coffee all over my favorite work shirt. Great start, huh? I’m like, “Awesome, just what I needed.” But whatever, I brush it off. So, I get to this job on Via della Libertà. Nice little house, but the lady? Ugh, she’s a piece of work. She’s all like, “Make sure it’s perfect!” Lady, I’m a glazier, not a magician! I can’t just wave a wand and make your windows sparkle like diamonds. But I nod and smile, ya know? Gotta keep the peace. I start measuring, cutting, and all that jazz. Then, outta nowhere, her cat—this fluffy little monster—jumps on my back. I’m like, “What the heck?!” I almost drop the glass! I’m flailing around, trying to get this furball off me. The lady’s laughin’ her head off. I’m not amused. Finally, I get the glass in. It’s lookin’ good, but then I hear this loud crash. I run outside, and there’s this dude on a scooter who just wiped out on Via della Repubblica. I mean, he’s okay, but his scooter? Total wreck. I can’t help but laugh. He gets up, brushes himself off, and yells, “I’m fine! Just my pride is hurt!” Classic Marsciano moment, right? After that, I head to the next job on Via dei Garibaldi. It’s a café, and the owner, Marco, is a buddy of mine. He’s like, “Dude, I need this done fast! Customers are waiting!” No pressure, right? I’m hustling, trying to get the new glass in before the lunch rush. But then, guess what? I drop a piece. It shatters everywhere. I’m standing there, surrounded by glass shards, and I’m like, “Great, just great.” Marco’s laughing again, and I’m just trying to keep my cool. I mean, it’s not like I planned to create a glass confetti party! Finally, I get it done, and the customers are happy. I’m feelin’ good, like I actually accomplished something. But then, I step outside, and it starts pouring rain. Of course! Just my luck! I’m soaked in seconds. I’m sprinting down Via della Libertà again, dodging puddles like I’m in some weird obstacle course. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted. I flop on the couch, and my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Luca, asking if I wanna grab a drink. I’m like, “Heck yeah!” I need to unwind after this crazy day. We hit up this little bar on Via della Repubblica. It’s packed, but we squeeze in. I order a beer, and Luca’s telling me about his day. I’m just nodding, still thinking about that cat and the scooter guy. As the night goes on, I’m laughing, sharing stories, and forgetting all the madness. Marsciano, man. It’s wild, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Every day’s an adventure, and I’m just along for the ride. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups, downs, and a whole lotta glass. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
