Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Kvasnik in Meldola is no joke. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing there, waiting for my cappuccino, and this dude in front of me orders, like, a 5-layered, whipped cream, sprinkle explosion. I’m like, “Bro, it’s coffee, not a dessert!” But whatever, I’m not here to judge. Finally, I get my drink, and I’m outta there. I stroll down Via Garibaldi, soaking in the vibes. The cobblestones are all uneven, and I almost trip like three times. Classic Meldola, right? But then I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, it’s kinda catchy. I’m boppin’ my head, feeling good. Then BAM! Outta nowhere, this kid runs by, knocks my coffee right outta my hand. I’m standing there, mouth agape, like, “Did that just happen?” I’m furious! I mean, come on! I just got that! I look at the kid, and he’s laughing, running off like he just pulled off the greatest heist ever. Ugh! So, I decide to walk it off. I head towards the Parco della Resistenza. It’s a nice spot, you know? Trees, benches, the whole shebang. I plop down, trying to calm my nerves. But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “Dude, save it for home!” But it’s kinda entertaining, too. I mean, who doesn’t love a little drama? After that, I’m feeling a bit peckish. I wander over to the local market on Piazza della Libertà. Fresh produce everywhere! I grab some figs and a chunk of cheese. I’m munching away, feeling like a king. But then, I spot this old lady trying to haggle for a tomato. She’s fierce! I’m talking, “You better give me a discount or else!” I’m cracking up. Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. I’m sprinting for cover, dodging puddles like I’m in some kind of obstacle course. I duck into a little café on Via Cavour. I’m soaked, but at least I’m dry now. I order a slice of torta di riso. It’s heavenly! I’m in my happy place again. But wait, there’s more! I’m sitting there, enjoying my cake, when I overhear this guy talking about a local festival happening tonight. I’m like, “What? Why didn’t I know about this?” So, I finish up and head out, ready for some fun. I get to the festival, and it’s packed! Lights everywhere, people dancing, food stalls. I’m in heaven! I grab a glass of Sangiovese and just soak it all in. I even join a dance circle. I’m not the best dancer, but who cares? We’re all just vibing. As the night goes on, I meet some cool folks. We’re laughing, sharing stories, and I forget all about my coffee disaster. Meldola, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. But then, just when I think it can’t get any better, the fireworks start. Boom! Colors exploding in the sky. I’m standing there, mouth open, just in awe. It’s like the universe is saying, “Hey, you survived the day. Here’s a little magic.” So, yeah, that was my day in Meldola. Full of ups and downs, but mostly just a wild ride. I’m exhausted, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
