Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Merate, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Manzoni for my morning coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing there, waiting for my cappuccino, and this dude in front of me orders, like, a 5-layered, whipped cream, sprinkle explosion. I’m just like, “Bro, it’s 8 AM, not a birthday party!” But whatever, I’m not judging. I mean, who am I to judge? I’m just a Kisen trying to get my caffeine fix. So, I finally get my coffee, and I’m feeling all fancy, right? I stroll down to Piazza della Libertà, and it’s packed. Like, what’s up with that? I thought Merate was supposed to be chill. But nah, it’s like a mini Times Square. I’m dodging people left and right, and then BAM! I bump into this old lady. I’m like, “Sorry, nonna!” She just glares at me like I stole her last cookie. I mean, c’mon, lady, it was an accident! Then, I decide to take a walk down Via Cavour. Beautiful street, by the way. Trees everywhere, cute little shops. I’m vibing, listening to my tunes, when I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s killing it! I’m standing there, clapping along, feeling all the feels. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by and knocks over his hat. Money goes flying everywhere! I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing?!” The performer just laughs it off, but I’m fuming. Like, how can you be so careless? After that chaos, I’m like, “I need food.” So, I hit up this little trattoria on Via Garibaldi. The pasta? To die for. I order the tagliatelle al ragù, and it’s like a hug in a bowl. I’m slurping it down, and this waiter comes over. He’s all smiles, and I’m thinking, “This guy gets it.” But then he spills water all over my lap! I’m soaked! I’m laughing, but inside I’m like, “Really, dude?!” Finally, I’m done eating, and I’m feeling good. I decide to walk it off, ya know? I head towards the Parco di Merate. It’s gorgeous there. Green grass, kids playing, dogs running around. I’m just chilling, when I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m trying to enjoy my day, and they’re ruining the vibe! I mean, c’mon, take it somewhere else! But then, out of nowhere, this little kid runs up to me. He’s got ice cream all over his face, and he’s like, “Mister, wanna see my magic trick?” I’m like, “Sure, kid!” He pulls a coin from behind my ear, and I’m like, “Whoa, how’d you do that?!” For a second, I forget about the arguing couple and the spilled water. It’s just me and this kid, and it’s pure joy. As the sun starts to set, I’m walking back home, and I can’t help but think about the day. Merate is wild, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but that’s what makes it real. I mean, who needs a boring day, right? I’d take the chaos any day. So yeah, that was my day in Merate. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of drama. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
