Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a carpenter in Mirabella-Imbaccari is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Via Roma. I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First thing, I head to the workshop on Via Garibaldi. I’m all pumped, ready to whip up some furniture. But guess what? My saw decides to take a vacation. Like, c’mon! I’m standin’ there, lookin’ at it like it’s a bad joke. I’m like, “Really? You too, huh?” So, I grab my toolbox and head to the local hardware store. It’s packed! Everyone’s in there, chattin’ away like it’s a social club. I’m just tryin’ to get a new saw. I finally find one, but the guy at the counter, he’s takin’ his sweet time. I’m like, “Dude, I got wood to cut!” But he’s busy talkin’ about the weather. I mean, it’s Sicily! It’s always sunny! Finally, I get my saw and rush back. I’m feelin’ like a hero, ready to conquer the wood. But then, I step outside, and bam! It’s like a scene from a movie. A parade? In the middle of the street? Seriously? It’s all colorful and loud, and I’m just standin’ there, saw in hand, like a deer in headlights. Turns out, it’s some local festival. People are dancin’ and laughin’, and I’m thinkin’, “I should join, but I got work!” But then, I see this old guy on a balcony on Via Vittorio Emanuele, throwin’ confetti like it’s his job. I can’t help but laugh. I mean, who doesn’t love confetti? After a while, I finally get back to work. I’m cuttin’ wood, and it’s goin’ great. I’m in the zone, you know? But then, my buddy Marco shows up. He’s like, “Hey, wanna grab a coffee?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m busy!” But he’s persistent. So, I take a break. We hit up this little café on Piazza della Libertà. Best coffee in town, no joke. I’m sippin’ my espresso, and Marco’s tellin’ me about his latest “brilliant” idea. He wants to start a carpentry school. I’m like, “Bro, you can’t even build a birdhouse!” But he’s all fired up, and I can’t help but smile. After the coffee break, I head back to the workshop. I’m feelin’ good, but then I get a call. It’s a client. They want a custom table, like, yesterday. I’m like, “Sure, no problem!” But inside, I’m thinkin’, “How am I gonna pull this off?” So, I hustle. I’m cuttin’, sanding, and swearin’ all at once. I’m in my element, but then I realize I’m outta wood. Seriously? I just bought a ton! So, I dash back to the hardware store. Again. This time, it’s even busier. I’m like, “What’s with today? Is it a holiday or somethin’?” I finally grab the wood and head back. I’m exhausted but determined. By the time I finish the table, it’s dark outside. I step out, and the streets of Mirabella-Imbaccari are lit up. It’s beautiful, man. The old buildings, the cobblestone streets, it’s like a postcard. I take a deep breath, and for a moment, all the craziness fades away. But then, I hear music again. The parade is still goin’! I can’t resist. I join in, dancin’ like nobody’s watchin’. I’m a carpenter by day, party animal by night! So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Mirabella-Imbaccari, you crazy little town, you never fail to surprise me. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
