Wow, what a day in Modugno! Seriously, where do I even start? I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day. Boy, was I wrong! First off, I hit the streets of Modugno around 9 AM. The sun was shining, and I was feeling good. I strolled down Via Roma, you know, the main drag. It’s got that classic Italian vibe, with cafes and shops everywhere. I grabbed a cappuccino at this little spot called Bar Centrale. Best coffee ever! I mean, I could’ve sworn I heard angels singing when I took that first sip. But then, bam! My phone buzzed. My boss wanted a report ASAP. Like, really? I’m just trying to enjoy my morning! So, I chugged my coffee and dashed over to the library on Via G. Marconi. I thought I could find some peace and quiet to work. Nope! It was packed with students. I swear, they were all crammed in there like sardines. I finally found a corner, but then this group of loud kids sat next to me. Ugh! They were laughing and shouting. I wanted to throw my laptop at them. Instead, I just put on my headphones and tried to zone out. After a couple of hours, I finally finished the report. I felt like a champ! But then, I realized I had to print it. So, I headed to the nearest print shop on Via C. Battisti. Of course, the printer was down. Classic! I mean, come on! I was about to lose it. While I was waiting, I decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood. Modugno is so pretty! The old buildings, the narrow streets, and the vibe are just amazing. I walked past the Chiesa Madre, and it was stunning. I snapped a pic for the ‘gram. Gotta show off, right? Then, I bumped into an old friend, Marco. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We ended up chatting for like an hour. He told me about his new job and how he’s moving to Bari. I was like, “Dude, you’re gonna miss Modugno!” But he was all excited. I mean, who wouldn’t be? Bari’s got that nightlife! After our catch-up, I finally got my report printed. Thank goodness! I rushed back to my place, but on the way, I saw this cute little gelato shop on Via S. Francesco. I couldn’t resist. I got a scoop of pistachio and a scoop of stracciatella. OMG, it was heavenly! I was in a food coma, but it was worth it. Then, the day took a turn. I was walking back, feeling all happy and stuff, when I saw a stray dog. Poor thing looked so sad. I couldn’t just walk by. So, I stopped and gave it some of my gelato. Yeah, I know, I’m a softie. But that dog was living its best life after that! But then, outta nowhere, a guy on a bike zoomed past and knocked my gelato right outta my hand! I was like, “Are you kidding me?!” I was so mad! I yelled something in Italian that I probably shouldn’t repeat. The guy didn’t even stop. Rude! By the time I got home, I was exhausted. I plopped down on my couch, thinking about the crazy day. Modugno is wild, man! It’s got its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of drama. Just another day in Modugno, I guess!
