Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I woke up in my tiny apartment on Via Roma, right? The sun was blasting through my window like it was auditioning for a role in a horror flick. I was like, “Ugh, not today!” But ya know, I had to get up. Gotta make that animation magic happen, right? First stop, the café on Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Best cappuccino in town, no cap. I’m standing in line, half-asleep, and this dude in front of me spills his coffee all over the counter. Like, bro, how do you even manage that? I’m just trying to get my caffeine fix, and now I’m dodging coffee like it’s a freakin’ obstacle course. Finally, I get my drink, and I’m feeling a bit better. I stroll down to the old castle, Castello di Montesarchio. It’s this ancient fortress that looks like it’s straight outta a fairy tale. I’m thinking, “Man, I should totally animate a dragon here.” But then I see a bunch of tourists taking selfies, and I’m like, “Ugh, get outta my shot!” I mean, can’t a guy dream in peace? So, I’m sketching some ideas, right? And then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, chasing a soccer ball. He kicks it, and BAM! Right into my sketchbook! I’m like, “Dude, that’s my life’s work!” But the kid just laughs and runs off. I’m standing there, half-laughing, half-fuming. Like, what’s next? A pigeon stealing my lunch? After that chaos, I decide to hit up the local market on Via San Giovanni. Fresh produce everywhere! I’m talking tomatoes so red they look like they’re blushing. I grab some stuff for dinner, and this old lady starts chatting me up. She’s telling me about the best pasta recipe ever. I’m nodding along, but inside I’m like, “Lady, I can barely boil water.” Then, I head back home, and I’m feeling all inspired. I sit down to animate, and guess what? My computer crashes. Like, are you kidding me? I just lost hours of work! I’m screaming at my screen like it’s personally attacking me. “Why, God, why?” But then, I take a deep breath. I remember the view from my balcony. The hills of Montesarchio, all green and lush. It’s like a painting. I step outside, and the breeze hits me. Suddenly, I’m chill again. I think, “Okay, let’s do this.” I grab my sketchbook and head back out. I walk down Via Cavour, and the sunset is insane. I mean, the sky is on fire! I whip out my phone and snap a pic. Gotta capture the moment, right? As I’m walking, I bump into my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Yo, you good?” I tell him about my day, and he just laughs. “Dude, that’s classic you!” We end up grabbing a pizza at this spot on Piazza della Libertà. Best pizza ever! I’m talking gooey cheese, fresh basil, the works. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted but happy. I plop down on my couch, and I can’t help but smile. Montesarchio, with all its quirks and craziness, is my jam. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
