Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Mortara, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Roma for some coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing there, waiting for my cappuccino, and this dude in front of me orders like, I dunno, a million things. Like, bro, it’s a coffee shop, not a buffet! I’m losing my patience, but whatever. Finally, I get my drink, and it’s perfect. I take a sip, and boom! Happiness overload. Then I decide to stroll down to Piazza della Libertà. It’s a nice spot, you know? People hanging out, kids playing, and I’m just vibing. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs past me, and I spill my coffee all over my shirt. Ugh! I’m like, “Great, now I look like a walking coffee stain.” So, I’m fuming, right? I start walking down Via Garibaldi, trying to shake it off. But then I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s kinda good. I stop to listen, and suddenly, I’m smiling again. Mortara’s got this charm, ya know? But then, just as I’m getting into it, this old lady comes up and starts yelling at the performer. Like, chill, lady! It’s not like he’s playing heavy metal at 3 AM. She’s all, “You’re too loud!” I’m thinking, “Lady, you’re in a public square. Get with the vibe!” After that, I’m like, “I need food.” So, I head to this little trattoria on Via Cavour. The pasta? To die for! I order the risotto alla Milanese, and it’s like a hug in a bowl. I’m in heaven. But then, I overhear this couple arguing at the next table. They’re going at it, and I’m just trying to enjoy my meal. I mean, come on! Can’t a person eat in peace? Finally, I finish up and decide to walk it off. I wander over to the old church, San Bartolomeo. It’s beautiful, man. The architecture is insane. I’m standing there, just soaking it all in, when I see this little kid trying to climb the steps. He slips and falls, and I’m like, “Oh no!” But he just laughs it off. Kids are resilient, man. As I’m leaving, I bump into an old friend from high school. We start chatting, and it’s like no time has passed. We reminisce about the good ol’ days, and I’m feeling all nostalgic. Mortara’s got that small-town vibe, you know? Everyone knows everyone. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring rain. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I dash into a nearby shop on Via Vittorio Emanuele, and the owner’s super chill. He offers me a towel and a smile. I’m like, “Thanks, man! You’re a lifesaver!” By the time the rain stops, I’m exhausted. I head home, thinking about all the craziness of the day. Mortara, you wild! You’ve got me laughing, crying, and everything in between. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
