Man, what a day! I’m a forester, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ in the woods, not dodging tourists in Muggia. But today? Wow. Just wow. So, I roll into Muggia, right? First thing I notice is the sea. The Adriatic is lookin’ all sparkly and stuff. I’m like, “Dude, this is nice.” But then, BAM! I hit the main street, Via Roma. It’s packed! Like, where did all these people come from? I swear, I thought I was in a sardine can. I’m tryin’ to get to the harbor, but it’s like a maze. I take a wrong turn on Via Garibaldi. Ugh! I’m like, “C’mon, man! I just wanna see the boats!” But nooo, I end up in some tiny piazza. It’s cute, but I’m not here for cute. I’m here for adventure! Finally, I find my way to the waterfront. The view is killer! I mean, the sun setting over the water? Pure magic. I’m feelin’ all zen and stuff. But then, I see this guy. He’s got a gelato, right? And he’s just standing there, licking it like it’s the last gelato on Earth. I’m like, “Dude, chill! It’s just ice cream!” But then, I get a whiff of it. Pistachio. My fave! So, I’m like, “Okay, maybe I’ll get one.” I head over to the gelateria on Via della Libertà. The line is long, but whatever. I’m patient. I’m a forester, I can wait. While I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re all like, “You never listen!” and “You always want to go to the beach!” I’m just standing there, trying not to laugh. I mean, c’mon! You’re in Muggia! The beach is awesome! Finally, I get my gelato. It’s heavenly! I take a big scoop, and BAM! It falls right on my shoe. I’m like, “Noooo!” My favorite gelato, and now it’s on my boot. Great. Just great. So, I’m licking the rest of it, trying to salvage the moment. I walk down to the harbor, and it’s packed with boats. I see this little fishing boat, and I’m like, “That’s the life.” Just chillin’ on the water, no worries. But then, I hear this loud noise. It’s a bunch of kids playing soccer on the street. They’re kicking the ball everywhere! I’m dodging left and right. One kid almost takes me out! I’m like, “Hey! Watch it, mini Messi!” I finally find a bench to sit on. I’m just enjoying the view, when this old man sits next to me. He starts talking about the history of Muggia. Apparently, it’s been around since Roman times! I’m like, “Wow, that’s old.” He goes on about the castle on the hill, Castello di Muggia. I gotta check that out. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy from the forest. He’s like, “Dude, we need to talk about the trees.” I’m like, “Not now, man! I’m in Muggia!” But he keeps going on about some invasive species. I’m like, “Can’t a guy enjoy gelato in peace?” As the sun sets, I’m feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, frustrated, surprised. Muggia is wild! I mean, one minute I’m chillin’ by the sea, the next I’m dodging soccer balls and gelato disasters. I finally head back to my car, and I’m thinking, “What a day!” Muggia, you’ve got my heart racing. I’ll be back, but next time, I’m bringing a gelato shield.
