Man, what a day! I swear, Nuoro is wild. Like, I thought I was ready for anything, but today? Pffft. Nope. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping. I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Joke’s on me. I grab my coffee from that little bar on Via Roma. You know the one? The one with the best pastries. I’m talking about those little pastas that make you forget your name. Anyway, I’m sipping my coffee, feeling all good, when BOOM! A car zooms by, splashes water all over me. I’m soaked! Like, seriously? Who drives like that? I’m fuming, but whatever. I head to work. I’m a firefighter, so you know, danger is my middle name. But today? Today was something else. I get a call about a fire on Via Garibaldi. I’m thinking, “Easy peasy.” But when I get there, it’s chaos. Flames everywhere, people screaming. I’m like, “What the heck?!” I run in, gear on, heart racing. I see this old lady, bless her soul, stuck in her apartment. I’m yelling, “Get out! Get out!” But she’s just standing there, looking at her cat. I’m like, “Lady, your cat’s fine! Let’s go!” Finally, I grab her and we bolt. I’m sweating like a pig, but we make it out. I’m feeling like a hero, right? But then, I see my buddy Marco. He’s on the ground, looking pale. Turns out he got hit by a falling sign from a shop on Corso Umberto. I’m like, “Dude, are you serious?” He’s groaning, and I’m trying to keep it together. I mean, we’re supposed to be saving lives, not getting crushed by signs! After that, I’m just done. I need a break. So, I head to the park, Parco di Monte Ortobene. It’s beautiful there, you know? The view of the mountains is insane. I sit down, take a deep breath. But then, guess what? A bunch of kids run by, kicking a ball, and BAM! They hit me right in the face. I’m like, “Really? Is this my life now?” I’m laughing, though. Can’t help it. I mean, it’s just one of those days. I decide to chill, watch the sunset. The colors are wild, like a painting. I’m thinking about how Nuoro is my home. The streets, the people, the craziness. It’s all part of it. But then, I get a call. Another fire. This time on Via Mazzini. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I jump up, adrenaline pumping again. I race over, and it’s another scene. This time, it’s a restaurant. Flames licking the sky. I’m thinking, “Not the pizza place!” We get in there, and it’s a mess. Smoke everywhere. I can’t see a thing. I’m yelling for anyone inside. Finally, I find the chef. He’s trying to save his pizza oven! I’m like, “Dude, we gotta go!” But he’s all, “No! My pizza!” I’m rolling my eyes. We get everyone out, but the place is toast. I’m exhausted, but I feel good. We did our job. I’m driving home, and I can’t help but smile. Nuoro is crazy, but it’s my crazy. So, yeah. That was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in Nuoro, I guess. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
