OMG, what a day! So, I’m a babysitter, right? And today was just... wow. I mean, I thought I was ready for anything, but Pero threw me some serious curveballs. First off, I’m chillin’ at the park on Via Roma, just minding my own biz, waiting for the kiddos. It’s a sunny day, birds chirping, you know the vibe. Then, boom! Here comes little Marco, running like he’s in the Olympics. He’s like, “Miss! Miss! I found a frog!” And I’m like, “Great, Marco, but let’s not bring it home, okay?” But then, ofc, he insists. So now I’m stuck with a frog in a jar. Ugh. I mean, who needs a pet frog? Not me! But whatever, I’m trying to be the cool babysitter. Then we head over to the gelato place on Via Garibaldi. I’m thinking, “Yesss, gelato will fix everything!” But nooo, Marco decides he wants the biggest cone ever. Like, seriously, it’s bigger than his head! I’m just standing there, watching him struggle to hold it. It’s melting everywhere. I’m like, “Dude, you’re gonna wear that gelato, not eat it!” And then, outta nowhere, this pigeon swoops down and snatches a piece of his cone! I’m dying laughing, but Marco? He’s in tears. I’m like, “C’mon, it’s just a pigeon! They’re like the city’s little thieves!” But he’s not having it. So, we’re walking down Via Cavour, and I’m trying to cheer him up. I’m like, “Hey, let’s go see the castle!” You know, Castello Sforzesco? It’s super cool, and I thought it’d distract him. But nooo, he’s still sulking. We get there, and it’s packed with tourists. I’m dodging people left and right. I swear, I almost tripped over a kid. Like, why are parents letting their kids run wild? I’m just trying to keep Marco from getting lost in the crowd. Finally, we find a spot to chill. I’m like, “Look at the view, Marco! Isn’t it awesome?” And he’s like, “Yeah, but I want my gelato back!” I’m like, “Dude, it’s gone. Let it go!” But then, surprise! I spot a street performer doing magic tricks. I’m like, “Yo, Marco, check this out!” And for a second, he forgets about the gelato. The magician pulls a rabbit outta a hat, and Marco’s eyes are like saucers. I’m thinking, “Finally, something to make him smile!” But then, the magician asks for a volunteer. Guess who raises his hand? Yup, Marco. He runs up there, and I’m like, “Oh no, what’s gonna happen?” The magician hands him a wand, and Marco’s all serious. It’s hilarious! But then, the magician messes up a trick, and Marco’s face drops. I’m like, “C’mon, it’s just a show!” But he’s crushed. I’m trying to lighten the mood, so I’m like, “Hey, you could be a magician one day!” Finally, we head back home, and I’m exhausted. I’m thinking, “What a day!” But then, Marco looks up at me and says, “Thanks for today, Miss!” And my heart just melts. So yeah, Pero can be wild. But it’s also full of surprises. I mean, who knew a day with a frog, a pigeon, and a magician could be so... emotional? I’m ready for bed, but I wouldn’t trade this day for anything.
