Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Pianillo, right? This tiny gem in Italy, nestled in the hills. I mean, it’s cute and all, but today? Ugh. First off, I’m a professional orientation dude. Yeah, I help people find their way in life. But today, I was the one lost. I step outta my cozy little apartment on Via Roma, and boom! It’s like the universe decided to throw a curveball. I’m walking down the cobblestone streets, and it’s all picturesque. You know, the kinda place where you expect to see a couple of old folks sipping espresso at a café. But nah, today it’s chaos. I’m talking about kids running around, scooters zooming past, and a dog that looks like it’s plotting world domination. So, I’m heading to the piazza, right? Piazza della Libertà. It’s usually chill, but today? It’s packed! There’s a festival or something. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” I can’t even hear myself think. Music blasting, people dancing, and I’m just trying to get to my meeting. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into this guy. Total stranger. He’s like, “Hey, you look lost!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m not lost, I’m just… exploring.” But inside, I’m like, “Yeah, I’m totally lost.” He starts giving me directions, and I’m nodding, but honestly, I have no clue what he’s saying. Something about Via Garibaldi and a gelato shop. Speaking of gelato, I’m craving it. So, I decide to take a detour. I mean, who can resist gelato, right? I swing by Gelateria da Marco. Best gelato in Pianillo, hands down. I get a scoop of pistachio, and it’s like heaven in a cone. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Classic me. I’m standing there, sticky and embarrassed, while a kid laughs at me. Finally, I make it to my meeting. I’m late, of course. The office is on Via Vittorio Emanuele. I rush in, and everyone’s staring. I’m like, “Sorry, I was… uh, saving the world.” They don’t buy it. I can feel the judgment. The meeting’s a mess. We’re discussing career paths, and I’m just zoning out. My mind’s still on that gelato. And the dog. Seriously, that dog was intense. I can’t shake it off. After the meeting, I step outside, and it’s raining. Of course, it is. I’m soaked in seconds. I’m cursing the weather, thinking, “Why today?” But then, I see a rainbow. Like, a legit rainbow over the hills. It’s beautiful. I can’t help but smile. I decide to walk back home, taking the long way through the narrow streets. I pass by the old church on Via della Chiesa. It’s stunning, and I stop to take a pic. I mean, I gotta document this day, right? As I’m walking, I think about how Pianillo is full of surprises. One minute you’re lost, the next you’re eating gelato and staring at rainbows. It’s wild. I finally get home, exhausted but happy. I flop on my couch, still sticky from the gelato. I think about the day. It was chaotic, but it was mine. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Pianillo, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. Even on the worst days, you manage to surprise me. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
