Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Typhlopedagogue in Piazza is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down Via Roma. Love that street! It’s got this vibe, ya know? But then, BAM! I trip over some cobblestones. Classic Piazza, right? I’m like, “Great start, genius.” My coffee’s sloshing everywhere. I swear, if I spill one more drop, I’m gonna lose it. So, I finally get to the Piazza del Duomo. It’s packed! Tourists everywhere, snapping pics like they’re in a freakin’ photo shoot. I mean, I get it, the Duomo is stunning, but c’mon, people! Can we not block the whole street? I’m trying to get to my class, not audition for a reality show. Then, I spot this kid. He’s blind, but he’s got this amazing energy. He’s just vibing, feeling the world around him. I’m like, “Dude, you’re my hero.” I start chatting with him, and he’s got this crazy sense of humor. Makes me laugh so hard, I almost forget about my coffee disaster. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon swoops down and lands on my shoulder. I freak out! Like, “Get off me, you feathered fiend!” Everyone’s laughing, and I’m just standing there, flapping my arms like a maniac. Seriously, who knew pigeons had such bad timing? After that, I head over to Via dei Mercanti. It’s this cute little street with shops and cafes. I’m thinking, “Maybe I’ll grab a pastry.” But no! The line is a mile long. I’m like, “What is this, a concert?” I just want a cannoli, not a life-changing experience. Finally, I get my pastry. It’s heavenly! I take a bite, and it’s like fireworks in my mouth. But then, I see this guy drop his gelato. I mean, come on! It’s like watching a slow-motion tragedy. He’s just standing there, staring at the ground like it’s the end of the world. I can’t help but laugh. Sorry, dude, but that’s just too good. So, I’m walking back to my class, feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster, I swear! I pass by the fountain in Piazza della Repubblica. It’s so beautiful, but there’s this group of kids splashing water everywhere. I’m like, “Really? In the middle of a fountain?” But then I see their smiles, and I can’t help but smile too. By the time I get to my class, I’m exhausted. But I love it. I love the chaos, the energy, the unexpected moments. Piazza is wild, but it’s my wild. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, emotional ride in the heart of Piazza. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
