Man, what a day! I swear, Pietra-Ligure is wild. I mean, I thought I was just gonna chill by the beach, grab a gelato, and call it a day. Nope! Not even close. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be epic!” I hit the streets, and first stop? Via Roma. Gotta get my caffeine fix. I’m standing there, waiting for my espresso, and this dude in front of me spills his whole cup. Like, bro, it’s not a swimming pool! I’m just standing there, trying not to laugh, but I can’t help it. After that, I stroll down to the beach. The waves are crashing, and I’m feeling good. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches my sandwich! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I chase it for a sec, but that bird’s got wings, man. I’m just standing there, looking like a fool, while everyone’s laughing. Great start, right? Then I decide to hit up the old town. You know, the narrow streets of Pietra-Ligure? So charming, but also kinda confusing. I’m wandering around Via della Libertà, and I get lost. Like, how do you get lost in a small town? I’m turning corners, and every street looks the same. I’m sweating, and my phone’s dying. Classic. Finally, I find this cute little piazza. It’s got a fountain, and I’m thinking, “Okay, this is nice.” I sit down, take a breather, and then BAM! A kid runs by, kicks a soccer ball, and it hits me right in the leg. I’m like, “What’s with today?!” The kid just laughs and runs off. I can’t even be mad. Kids are hilarious. So, I’m trying to shake it off, right? I head to the gelateria on Via Garibaldi. I’m ready for some serious gelato therapy. I order pistachio, my fave, and the guy behind the counter gives me a double scoop. I’m like, “You’re my hero!” But then, I drop it. Yup, right on the ground. I just stand there, staring at it like it’s the end of the world. After that, I’m feeling kinda defeated. I decide to walk along the Lungomare. The sea breeze is nice, but I’m still bummed about the gelato. I sit on a bench, just watching the waves. And then, outta nowhere, this old man sits next to me. He starts telling me stories about Pietra-Ligure. Like, did you know it used to be a fishing village? He’s got this wild energy, and suddenly, I’m laughing again. He tells me about the best spots to eat, and I’m taking notes. I mean, who doesn’t love good food? He says to check out the trattoria on Via Cavour. I’m sold. As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling better. I head to that trattoria, and it’s packed. I squeeze in, and the food? Oh man, it’s incredible. I order seafood pasta, and it’s like a party in my mouth. I’m sitting there, enjoying every bite, and I realize, despite the craziness, today was pretty awesome. So, yeah, Pietra-Ligure, you got me. You’re a wild ride, but I love ya. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
