Man, what a day! I swear, if I had a euro for every crazy thing that happened in Pietrasanta today, I’d be rich. So, I roll outta bed, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Yeah, right. First stop, my workshop on Via Garibaldi. I’m just settin’ up, coffee in hand, when this dude rolls in. He’s got a vintage Fiat 500, all beat up. I mean, it looked like it had been through a war. He’s like, “Can ya fix it?” I’m like, “Sure, but it’s gonna cost ya.” He looks at me like I just slapped his grandma. I mean, c’mon, it’s a classic! So, I dive into it. I’m under the hood, and suddenly, I hear this loud crash outside. I pop my head out, and there’s a tourist on a bike, totally wiped out on Via Mazzini. I’m talkin’ full-on cartoon style, arms flailing. I can’t help but laugh. The guy’s fine, just a little embarrassed. But hey, it’s Pietrasanta, right? You gotta expect some chaos. After that, I’m back to work. I’m elbow-deep in grease when my buddy Marco shows up. He’s got this wild idea to hit the beach at Forte dei Marmi later. I’m like, “Dude, I’m covered in oil!” But he’s persistent. “C’mon, it’ll be fun!” So, I agree. But first, I gotta finish this Fiat. Finally, I get it done. The guy’s stoked, and I’m feelin’ like a hero. But then, he tries to haggle. I’m like, “Bro, I just saved your car’s life!” But he’s relentless. I end up givin’ him a discount just to get him outta my hair. Ugh, some people! So, I clean up and head to the beach. The sun’s setting, and it’s beautiful. I’m walkin’ along the promenade, and the vibe is just right. I grab a gelato from this little shop on Via Roma. Best gelato ever! I’m talkin’ pistachio that makes you wanna cry. Then, I see this street performer. He’s playin’ the accordion, and it’s like he’s channeling the spirit of Italy. I’m just standin’ there, lost in the music. It’s one of those moments, ya know? I feel all the stress from the day just melt away. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches my gelato! I’m like, “No way!” I chase it down the beach, flappin’ my arms like a madman. People are laughin’, and I’m just tryin’ to get my dessert back. Spoiler alert: I don’t get it back. That bird’s a thief! After that, I meet up with Marco and a few other friends. We hit this bar on Via Stagio Stagi. The drinks are flowin’, and we’re just laughin’ about the day. I tell ‘em about the Fiat, the bike crash, and the gelato thief. They’re crackin’ up, and I’m feelin’ good. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. We scramble for cover, but it’s too late. We’re soaked! I’m laughin’ so hard, I can’t breathe. It’s just one of those days where everything goes wrong, but it’s all good, ya know? By the time I get home, I’m exhausted but happy. Pietrasanta, man. It’s wild, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a mechanic, I guess. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
