Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Pieve-di-Cento, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m a supervisor at this local café, Caffè Centrale on Via Roma. Great place, but today? Ugh. I get there, and the espresso machine is down. Like, are you kidding me? No coffee? In Pieve-di-Cento? That’s like a sin! I’m already sweating bullets. Then, my barista, Marco, shows up late. He’s usually on point, but today? Nah. He strolls in like he’s on a catwalk, all cool and collected. I’m like, “Dude, we open in 10!” He just shrugs and says, “Traffic on Via Garibaldi.” I mean, come on! It’s a small town! So, I’m running around, trying to fix the machine. I’m sweating like a sinner in church. Finally, I get it working, and the first customer walks in. It’s Mrs. Rossi, the sweetest old lady ever. She orders her usual cappuccino, and I’m like, “Yes! Finally, some good vibes!” But then, she spills it all over the counter. I’m just standing there, mouth agape. I clean it up, and she’s apologizing like crazy. I’m like, “No worries, Mrs. Rossi! It’s just coffee!” But inside, I’m screaming. I need a break! Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Luca. He’s like, “Hey, you wanna hit up the market later?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m drowning in coffee and chaos!” But then I think, “Why not?” I need some fun after this madness. Fast forward a few hours. The café is packed. I’m running around like a headless chicken. I swear, I’ve never seen so many people on Via Mazzini. It’s like a parade! And guess what? The Wi-Fi goes down. Perfect timing, right? Customers are losing it. I’m losing it. Finally, I manage to calm everyone down. I tell them about the local festival happening at the Piazza della Libertà. “Hey, let’s go check it out after this!” I’m trying to be all motivational, but inside, I’m just praying for a miracle. After the shift, I meet up with Luca. We hit the market, and it’s buzzing! Fresh produce, local cheeses, and oh man, the gelato! I grab a scoop of pistachio, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I’m finally feeling good. But then, I see this guy, Antonio, from high school. He’s always been a bit of a jerk. He walks up, all smug, and starts talking about his fancy job in Bologna. I’m like, “Dude, I’m happy here in Pieve-di-Cento!” But he just rolls his eyes. Ugh, so annoying! We end up at the festival, and it’s lit! Music, dancing, and everyone’s just vibing. I even join in on a dance-off. Yeah, me! I’m not the best dancer, but who cares? I’m having a blast! As the night winds down, I’m walking home, feeling grateful. Pieve-di-Cento may be small, but it’s got heart. Sure, today was a rollercoaster, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
