Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Pollena-Trocchia, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m a barista at this cute little café on Via Roma. You know, the one with the best espresso in town? Yeah, that one. So, I get there, and the line is out the door. Like, c’mon people, it’s just coffee! But whatever, I’m pumped. I love my job, even if I’m basically a caffeine dealer. Then, outta nowhere, this dude walks in. He’s got a wild look in his eyes, like he just ran a marathon or something. Turns out, he’s lost. I mean, how do you get lost in Pollena-Trocchia? It’s tiny! So, I’m trying to help him, but he’s all flustered, and I’m like, “Bro, just chill. It’s not the end of the world.” But he’s not having it. While I’m dealing with Mr. Lost, my coworker, Maria, spills a whole jug of milk. Like, seriously? It’s a dairy explosion! I’m dodging milk like it’s a game of dodgeball. I’m laughing, but also kinda mad. I mean, who spills milk at 8 AM? After the chaos, I finally get a break. I step outside to catch my breath. Pollena-Trocchia is so beautiful, man. The streets are lined with those old buildings, and you can see Mount Vesuvius in the distance. It’s like a postcard. I take a deep breath, and just when I think I can relax, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and there’s a car accident on Via Nazionale. Ugh, just what we need. People are yelling, and I’m like, “Great, now I’m gonna be late for my lunch break.” But then, this old lady comes outta nowhere, waving her hands like she’s directing traffic. It’s hilarious! She’s shouting at the drivers, “You call that driving?!” I can’t help but laugh. Finally, I get my lunch. I head to this little spot on Via San Gennaro. They have the best pizza. I’m talking about the kind that makes you wanna cry. I sit down, and just as I’m about to take a bite, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Luca. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the park!” I’m like, “I just got my pizza!” But he’s persistent, so I’m like, “Fine, I’ll take it to go.” I rush over to the park, and it’s packed. There’s a festival or something. Music, food stalls, people dancing. I’m thinking, “This is what life’s about!” I grab a slice of pizza and join the crowd. I’m feeling good, you know? But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, really rain. I’m talking about a downpour. Everyone’s scrambling for cover, and I’m just standing there, pizza in hand, getting soaked. I’m laughing so hard, I can’t even. It’s like a scene from a movie. After the rain, the sun comes back out, and the vibe is just right. People are dancing, laughing, and I’m just soaking it all in. I meet this girl, Sofia. She’s super cool, and we start chatting. Turns out, she’s from Pollena-Trocchia too! What are the odds? We bond over our love for the town and how crazy today has been. As the day winds down, I’m walking home, and I can’t help but smile. Pollena-Trocchia is wild, man. It’s got its quirks, its chaos, but that’s what makes it home. I’m exhausted, but I wouldn’t trade today for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in Pollena-Trocchia, I guess!
