Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a bouncer in Ponte-Sasso ain’t for the faint-hearted. I woke up this mornin’ thinkin’ it’d be just another chill day. Boy, was I wrong! First off, I hit up my usual spot for coffee—Caffè del Mare on Via Roma. Best espresso in town, no cap. I’m sippin’ my brew, and this dude walks in, right? He’s got this wild hair, lookin’ like he just rolled outta bed. Turns out, he’s a street performer. He starts jugglin’ oranges, and I’m like, “Bro, this ain’t a circus!” But the crowd loves it. I’m just tryin’ to enjoy my coffee, man! So, I head to the club, La Dolce Vita, on Via della Libertà. It’s a Friday night, and you know what that means—chaos! I’m standin’ at the door, checkin’ IDs, and this one guy tries to sneak in. I’m like, “Dude, you think I’m blind?” He’s all, “C’mon, man, it’s my birthday!” I’m like, “Happy birthday, but no entry!” Then, outta nowhere, this girl starts yellin’ at her boyfriend. They’re fightin’ right in front of me. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need.” I step in, try to calm things down. “Hey, chill! It’s a party, not a boxing match!” But they just keep goin’. I swear, relationships are like a rollercoaster—up and down, twistin’ and turnin’. Later, I’m takin’ a breather outside on Via della Repubblica. The moon’s out, and it’s kinda nice. I see the old fountain, you know, the one that’s been there since forever. It’s got this charm, like it’s seen it all. I’m thinkin’ about how many people have come and gone in this town. Kinda deep, right? But then, bam! A group of rowdy guys comes outta nowhere. They’re laughin’, shoutin’, and one of ‘em trips over his own feet. I can’t help but laugh. “Dude, you good?” He just gets up, dusts himself off, and yells, “I’m fine! Just testing gravity!” I’m like, “Yeah, you’re failin’!” As the night goes on, I’m feelin’ the vibe. Music’s pumpin’, people are dancin’. I see this couple, totally lost in their own world. It’s cute, but also makes me a lil’ jealous. I mean, who doesn’t want that kinda love? But then, the night takes a turn. Some guy starts causin’ trouble. He’s pushin’ people, spillin’ drinks. I’m like, “Not on my watch!” I step in, and he gets all up in my face. “What you gonna do, tough guy?” I’m thinkin’, “Oh, it’s on!” But I keep my cool. “Listen, man, you need to chill or you’re outta here.” Finally, I get him to leave. The crowd’s cheerin’, and I’m feelin’ like a hero. But then, I look around, and it hits me—this is my life. I’m the guy who keeps the peace in Ponte-Sasso. It’s wild, it’s crazy, but it’s home. As the night winds down, I’m sweepin’ up outside. The streets are quiet now, just the sound of the waves crashin’ nearby. I think about all the faces I saw tonight. The laughter, the fights, the love. Ponte-Sasso, you’re a mess, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Just another rollercoaster in this crazy town. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
