Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Porcia, right? This little gem in Italy, chillin’ between Pordenone and the mountains. I mean, it’s cute and all, but today? Ugh. First off, I hit the streets of Via Roma. You know, the main drag. I’m just vibin’, sketchbook in hand, ready to capture the essence of this place. But then, bam! A pigeon poops on my shoulder. Like, really? I’m just tryna be artsy here! I swear that bird was aiming for me. So, I’m walking down Via Garibaldi, and I see this old dude selling gelato. I’m like, “Yesss, gelato time!” I get a scoop of stracciatella, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, I drop it. Right on the cobblestones. I’m standing there, staring at my fallen gelato like it’s a lost friend. Then, I decide to hit up the Parco del Seminario. It’s this beautiful park, right? Trees everywhere, and the vibe is just chill. I plop down on a bench, and I’m sketching this cute couple. They’re all lovey-dovey, and I’m like, “Aww, young love.” But then, they start arguing. Like, loud. I’m just trying to draw, and they’re throwing shade like it’s an Olympic sport. After that, I’m like, “I need coffee.” So, I head to this little café on Via Vittorio Emanuele. I order an espresso, and the barista is super friendly. We start chatting about the best spots in Porcia. He tells me about this hidden gem, a little trattoria called Da Nino. I’m like, “I gotta check that out!” But then, I get a text from my buddy. He’s like, “Dude, meet me at the fountain in Piazza della Repubblica.” So, I rush over there, and guess what? He’s not there. I’m standing by this fountain, looking like a lost puppy. I wait, and wait. Finally, he shows up, laughing. “Sorry, man! Got caught up in traffic.” Traffic? In Porcia? Really? We decide to grab some pizza at Da Nino. OMG, best decision ever! The pizza is like a slice of heaven. I’m talking crispy crust, fresh toppings, the works. I’m in food paradise. But then, my buddy spills his drink all over the table. I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing?” After that, we stroll through the streets, and I’m just soaking it all in. The architecture, the vibe, the people. Porcia is alive! I see this street performer on Via Roma, playing the accordion. It’s so random, but I love it. I toss him a euro, and he gives me a nod. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. I’m soaked in seconds. I’m running for cover, laughing at the absurdity of it all. I duck into a little shop, and the owner is super nice. He offers me a towel. I’m like, “Thanks, man! You’re a lifesaver!” Finally, the rain stops, and I’m back on the streets. I decide to head home, but not before stopping by the local market. Fresh produce everywhere! I grab some tomatoes and basil. Gonna make a killer pasta tonight. As I walk back, I can’t help but think about the day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. From pigeon poop to gelato disasters, to pizza spills and rain showers. Porcia, you’ve got my heart. I love your quirks, your charm, and your surprises. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
