Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in Porto-San-Giorgio, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning coffee. You know, the usual spot. The barista, Marco, he’s a legend. But today? He spills my cappuccino all over the counter. I’m like, “Dude, what’s the deal?” He just laughs it off. I mean, come on! I need my caffeine fix! Then, I stroll down to the beach. The Adriatic is looking all sparkly and inviting. I’m thinking, “Maybe I’ll just dip my toes.” But nah, I see a bunch of kids playing soccer on the sand. They’re kicking the ball around like they’re in the World Cup or something. I’m standing there, watching, and suddenly—BAM! The ball comes flying at me. I duck, but it hits my leg. Ouch! I’m like, “Really? I’m just trying to enjoy my morning!” After that, I head over to Piazza della Libertà. It’s usually buzzing with life. But today? It’s like a ghost town. I’m thinking, “Where is everyone?” Then I remember, it’s market day! I rush over to the stalls, and wow, the fresh produce is insane. I grab some tomatoes and a loaf of that amazing local bread. But then, I see this old lady trying to haggle. She’s fierce! I’m talking full-on Italian grandma mode. She’s waving her hands, yelling in dialect. I can’t help but laugh. So, I’m feeling good, right? I’m walking back, and I decide to take a detour through Via Garibaldi. Big mistake. There’s construction everywhere! I’m dodging workers and machinery like it’s an obstacle course. I’m sweating, and I’m like, “Why is this happening to me?” Finally, I make it back to my office. I’m ready to tackle some community stuff. But guess what? My computer crashes. Just my luck! I’m sitting there, staring at the screen like it owes me money. I’m about to lose it. But then, I remember the beach. I need to chill. So, I grab my stuff and head back to the beach. The sunset is unreal. I’m sitting there, watching the waves, and I feel this wave of calm wash over me. It’s like Porto-San-Giorgio is saying, “Hey, relax! Life’s good!” But then, out of nowhere, a seagull swoops down and snatches my bread! I’m like, “No way! Not my bread!” I chase after it, flailing my arms like a madman. People are staring, and I’m just laughing at myself. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. Porto-San-Giorgio, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. I mean, who else can say they got hit by a soccer ball, chased a seagull, and watched a sunset all in one day? Only here, man. Only here.
