Man, what a day! I swear, Procida is a wild ride. I’m a carpenter, right? So, I’m used to wood and nails, but today? Today was somethin’ else. I woke up early, like, way too early. The sun was barely up, and I was already feelin’ the heat. I grabbed my tools and headed out. The streets of Procida are like a maze, ya know? I mean, you got Via Roma, all colorful and bustling, and then you turn a corner and boom! You’re in a quiet alley, like Via Salita. It’s like the city’s playin’ hide and seek with ya. So, I’m walkin’ down Via Roma, and I see this old guy, right? He’s sittin’ there, sellin’ fresh fish. The smell hits ya like a brick wall. I’m thinkin’, “Dude, how do you do this every day?” But then, I see him pull out this massive fish, like, bigger than my arm! I’m like, “Whoa, that’s a whopper!” He just laughs and says, “You should see the ones I throw back!” Classic. Anyway, I finally get to my job site. It’s this old villa near the marina. Beautiful spot, but man, the woodwork was a mess. I’m talkin’ splinters, cracks, the whole shebang. I start workin’, and I’m feelin’ good. The sun’s out, the sea’s glistening, and I’m hammerin’ away. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches my sandwich! Like, seriously? I’m just tryin’ to eat here! I’m chasin’ this bird down the street, yellin’ like a madman. “Hey! That’s my lunch!” People are lookin’ at me like I’m nuts. But whatever, I’m not lettin’ a bird ruin my day. I finally give up and head back to work, stomach grumblin’ like a beast. Then, I get this call from my buddy, Marco. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the beach later!” I’m thinkin’, “Beach? I’m covered in sawdust!” But then he mentions a bonfire and some local wine. I’m in! So, I finish up at the villa, and I’m feelin’ pretty proud of my work. I mean, I fixed that place up nice. I even found this hidden nook with a view of the sea. I’m standin’ there, just takin’ it all in. Procida is gorgeous, man. The colorful houses, the blue water, it’s like a postcard. I clean up and head to the beach. The sun’s settin’, and it’s like the sky’s on fire. I meet up with Marco and the crew. We’re laughin’, drinkin’, and just chillin’. Then, outta nowhere, this guy starts playin’ guitar. He’s strummin’ some old Italian songs, and everyone’s singin’ along. It’s like a scene from a movie, ya know? But then, the wind picks up, and it starts blowin’ sand everywhere. I’m talkin’ full-on sandstorm! I’m tryin’ to shield my drink, and Marco’s laughin’ his head off. “Welcome to Procida!” he yells. I’m like, “Yeah, thanks for the welcome, buddy!” After the storm passes, we roast marshmallows over the fire. I’m tryin’ to impress this girl, Sofia, and I’m like, “I can make a mean s’more!” But I end up burnin’ the marshmallow to a crisp. She just laughs, and I’m like, “Yeah, I meant to do that.” Smooth, right? As the night goes on, we’re all just vibin’. I’m thinkin’ about how crazy today was. From chasin’ a seagull to burnin’ marshmallows, it’s been a rollercoaster. Procida, man, it’s got its quirks, but that’s what makes it special. I finally head home, tired but happy. I’m thinkin’ about tomorrow. More carpentry, more adventures. Who knows what Procida has in store for me next? But whatever it is, I’m ready. Bring it on!
