Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a bone cutter in Riccione is no walk in the park. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Viale Ceccarini. I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I grab my coffee at this little café on Viale Dante. Best cappuccino ever, but the barista? Ugh, she’s got a serious attitude. I mean, c’mon, it’s 8 AM! I’m just tryna get my caffeine fix, not start a war. Anyway, I get my drink, and it’s like a miracle in a cup. I’m feelin’ good, ready to tackle the day. Then, boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my boss. “We got an emergency!” Great. Just what I needed. I rush over to the clinic on Via Roma. Traffic’s a nightmare. I’m stuck behind some tourist in a rental car, probably lost. I’m yellin’ at the guy, “C’mon, man! It’s not rocket science!” But he’s just sittin’ there, lookin’ confused. Finally, I get to the clinic. Turns out, we got a guy who broke his leg at the beach. Like, seriously? Who breaks their leg at the beach? I mean, it’s Riccione! You’re supposed to be chillin’ on the sand, not doin’ a faceplant in the sand. Anyway, I get in there, and this dude is in agony. I’m tryin’ to keep it together, but inside, I’m like, “Why me?” So, I start workin’ on him. The pain, the screams, it’s all a bit much. But then, I notice this little kid outside the window, playin’ in the sand. He’s buildin’ a sandcastle like it’s the Taj Mahal. I can’t help but smile. Kids, man. They make everything better. After the surgery, I’m exhausted. I step outside, and it’s like a whole new world. The sun’s settin’ over the Adriatic, and the sky’s all pink and orange. I’m thinkin’, “Okay, maybe today wasn’t a total bust.” I stroll down to the beach, and it’s packed. People everywhere, laughin’, swimmin’, livin’ their best lives. I hit up a gelato place on Viale Milano. I mean, you can’t be in Riccione and not get gelato, right? I order pistachio and stracciatella. Heaven in a cone! I’m sittin’ there, watchin’ the waves crash, and I feel this wave of happiness wash over me. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches my gelato! I’m standin’ there, mouth agape, like, “Did that just happen?” The people around me are crackin’ up. I’m like, “Dude, that bird’s got some serious skills!” So, I’m left with a half-eaten cone and a story to tell. I decide to walk it off, headin’ down to the port. The boats are bobbin’ in the water, and I can hear the laughter from the restaurants. It’s a vibe, ya know? As I’m walkin’, I bump into an old friend from high school. We start catchin’ up, and he’s tellin’ me about his new job. I’m happy for him, but also a bit jealous. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna be livin’ the dream? The night rolls in, and the lights along the promenade start to twinkle. I’m feelin’ all sorts of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised. It’s like Riccione’s got this magic that pulls you in. I finally head home, and I’m thinkin’ about the day. It was wild, emotional, and a bit chaotic. But that’s life, right? Full of ups and downs, just like the waves at the beach. I crash on my couch, exhausted but grateful. Tomorrow’s another day, and who knows what it’ll bring? Riccione, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart.
